Instructions to make No-Sew Fleece Knot Blankets A

Instructions to make No-Sew Fleece Knot Blankets
A. Purchase 1 yard each of 2 different fleece fabrics. (Note that this is not the
normal sweatshirt fleece, but the polar fleece that will not ravel when cut.)
B. If the edge of the fabric, a.k.a. selvedge, has a different design or words on it,
trim the edges off to the point that the fabric shows your print.
C. Cut each fleece piece in half so that the blanket size is approximately 36”x30”
D. Lay the two pieces of coordinating fleece with wrong sides together.
E. Trim the edges, if necessary so that the edges line up. (It is okay if they don’t line
up exactly.)
F. VERY IMPORTANT! Keep top and bottom fabrics together & cut out a 4”x4”
section at each corner.
G. Keeping top & bottom together, cut along all four sides to create 1-1.5 inch
strips.
H. Tie the top and bottom strips together around the entire blanket.
I. After it is completely tied, stretch the blanket to help “straighten” the corners.
(They tend to get rounded from the tying.)
J. The final size is about 28x20” which is newborn size. The blanket will eventually
become the toddler’s “lovie” blanket.
