Vision
Through forward planning and sustainable design Dublin City Council and Partners will
increase & improve the range of housing solutions for people with a disability to ensure that
everyone with a disability will have a home suitable to their needs with any supports that are
required to facilitate them living in the community.
Mission
Dublin City Council promotes equal access to housing by ensuring that people with a
disability are placed at the centre of housing policy and by encouraging better
communication and co-operation between all the relevant statutory and voluntary
stakeholders.

Inclusion: We aspire to include adults, children and their families across the full spectrum of
disabilities in the housing solution process.
Innovation: We seek to use the latest technology to improve the quality and range of
housing options for people with disabilities.
Collaboration: We will work closely with all statutory and voluntary stakeholders to provide
the housing & support services to which people with disabilities are entitled.
Sustainable Design: We aspire to establish the concept of Universal Design and Wheelchair
Accessible Homes as an integral part of the housing design process.
