WaterScorpion
WaterScorpionsareunderwaterambushpredators,relying
uponcamouflagewhenhunting.Theyliveinbodiesofstill
water,suchaslakesandlodges,andarecommonaroundthe
shallowedgesofgardenponds,wheretheyhideamongstdead
leavesandwaittoambushtheirprey.Lashingoutwiththefront
legsandsubduingtheirpreyviasalivaryfluidsinjectedthrough
thesharpbeak,thispredatorycreaturefeedslargelyuponthe
bodyfluidsofinvertebrates,butwillalsotakesmalltadpoles
andfish.Thesesalivaryfluidscontainchemicalsthattranquilize
