ROYALS NOTES: • THE ROYALS lost to the Twins today, their first 0-2 start since 2014…the Royals will look to avoid their first sweep of the season in the series finale tomorrow afternoon…the last time the Royals were swept in a three-game series to start the season was 2001 (0-3 at NYY). • IAN KENNEDY allowed three runs on three hits and five walks and five strikeouts in 5.0 innings…five walks are the most since setting his 2016 high for walks with five on May 30 vs. TB. • MIKE MOUSTAKAS (1-for-4) went 0-for-2 against Hector Santiago and is now 0-for-16 career vs. the lefty. • PAULO ORLANDO (1-for-3) drove in the Royals sole run on the day with an RBI single in the fourth inning.
