About Us
Our Mission
Cake, Candles and Confetti, Inc. is a grassroots
charity that provides birthday parties for
homeless children in the Capital Region of New
York State.
We believe that every child should feel
celebrated on their special day with family,
friends, and the community. We want to give
these children an unforgettable day filled with

Founded in 2014, is a volunteer organization
currently serving local shelters and hoping to
expand our program to serve more shelters in
the Capital Region of New York State.
The charity was created when the team at
Christine A. Wheat Special Events Firm, LLC,
based in Saratoga Springs, wanted to combine
their expertise for creating memorable
occasions with their passion to serve in the
community, giving us the inspiration to start

How to Donate
Your gift will be a huge contribution in making a homeless child’s
birthday as joyous and special as can be. This all won’t be possible
without the help from individual donors like you. We’ve listed various

viewable in the attached document.
You can find updated times, wish
list items that need to be donated
along with the rules and
regulations of the specific shelter.
Make an in-kind donation:

Volunteer
We can always use more help and there are many ways you can do that!
Regardless of how you choose to participate, just know that you are helping
to make a homeless child’s birthday an incredible one.
Donate for a Party:
Each month we will update the list of birthday parties on the Party
Schedule document. Sign up to donate a gift for a child, party supplies,
or goody bag gifts etc. You can drop these donations at our office in
Saratoga Springs, NY.

Volunteer at a Party:
Find a party on our monthly schedule and email us. (E.g. If you know a
student that needs to fulfill their service hours for graduation
requirements. Please contact us.)
Fundraising or Supply Drives:
Host a fundraiser (car wash, bake sale, etc.…) or a supply drive (toys or
party supplies). Refer back to our Supply and Wish List.
Throw a Birthday Party with our mission in mind: Is your birthday
coming up? Choose to support Cake, Candles and Confetti, Inc. by
having your party guests bring in items from our Wish list. You can
drop-off the donation items at our office in Saratoga Springs, New York.

Corporate Volunteer Opportunities
Sponsor a Shelter Would your company like to that sponsor that special
day for every child in a homeless shelter for a whole year? Your company
can touch the lives of every child in the shelter for a whole year with a
$5,000 tax-deductible donation.
Have a team volunteer with Cake, Candles and Confetti, Inc. and do a little
team -building. Families and employees can volunteer at birthday parties
however often they would like.
•
Number of volunteers needed at each party vary by party and is
noted in the attached party schedule.
Other ways your company could support our mission of bringing
joyous celebrations to homeless children is by:
• Contributing professional services; We are constantly looking for
ways to grow our services so if you think your company could
help us spread our mission (PR, marketing, printing etc.…), do it!
• Hold a Party Supply Drive with your company. Look at our monthly
updated wish list to see what we need most.
