Description
Citizen science is fun and engaging for children and young people and
people of all ages. It provides a real-life context for learning within
Curriculum for Excellence and can encourage those participating to
develop a passion for science and conservation that will last a lifetime.
The Open Air Laboratories (OPAL) network is a UK-wide citizen
science initiative. Surveys like those supported by OPAL are a fantastic
way to take teaching outdoors, learn new skills and contribute to real
scientific research.
