MURDER
OF A PRESIDENT
February 2 at 8pm
Volume 30
Number 2
GENERAL MANAGER MESSAGE
I’m very pleased to announce that
the “WyomingPBS Create” channel is
now available on Charter Cable systems
throughout the state on Channel 195.
Charter joins TCT West and other cable
systems offering “Create.” During the
day and overnight, “Create” provides
series and specials on cooking, travel,
home improvement, gardening, arts
and crafts, and other lifestyle interests.
In the evening, “Create” gives you an
additional chance to watch programs
like NewsHour and Charlie Rose as well
as shows which aired earlier in the week on WyomingPBS.
With the state’s projected $617 million revenue shortfall for
the three-year budget period ending in June 2018, the upcoming
legislative session will be critical. WyomingPBS continues its tradition
of providing viewers first-hand access to our state leaders with a
live one-on-one interview with Governor Matt Mead, live coverage
of Governor Mead’s State of the State Address, and interviews with
legislators and other decision makers during our Friday “Capitol
Outlook” shows from Cheyenne. For more information, look at the
page on your right.
Finally, we have a very special program coming in March. “Over
Wyoming” will feature breathtaking aerial footage that showcases
the state’s natural
beauty and
communities. I
think it will be a
“must see” and a
“must have.” See
page 14 for more
information.
Thank
you again for
watching and for
being part of the
WyomingPBS
family.

Murder of a President
Tuesday, February 2 at 8pm
This is the story of James Garfield, one of
the most extraordinary men ever elected

into his presidency, and its bizarre and
heartbreaking aftermath.

Travel to Canada’s Rockies and into the
world of moose to experience a calf’s first

their first year. This stunningly intimate film
attempts to find out why.
American Masters

Doc Martin, Season 7
Thursday, February 18 at 8pm
Stuck in Portwenn, the quaint seaside
town he considers “the village of the
idiots,” with his wife off in Spain (with baby
son) to get some distance to sort out their
relationship, is it any wonder that Doc
Martin’s (Martin Clunes) bedside manner
is particularly gruff? His bark has more
bite than usual as Season 7 of the gently
comedic drama gets underway.
American Masters

Coming in March
Over Wyoming
Seen from the air, Wyoming is a sprawling landscape
of open space,
uplifted by
steep mountains and lined by twisting waterways.
WyomingPBS takes cameras aloft to explore the
sweeping beauty of the Cowboy State, and finds,
etched on the land, history as vast as its horizons and
human stories as intricate as its streams. Narrated by
Pete Simpson.
