Creating bright futures for migrant and refugee youth

Creating bright futures for
migrant and refugee youth
a collaborative education forum
This forum will bring together settlement
service workers in conversation with
education providers across Queensland.
This is your opportunity to ask questions of people who
know how the education and TAFE systems work.
We will discuss English as an Additional Language/
Dialect policies, Intensive English Centres and the other
support structures available to refugee/humanitarian
entrant students through Queensland schools. The
forum will address when TAFE is the best option for
young people and discuss TAFE Queensland English
Language and Literacy Services.
This forum is an initiative of the Brisbane Local Area
Coordination Network, through the Queensland
Settlement Committee.
