What’s new in EasyMap 10.5?
EasyMap 10.5 provides a lot of interesting new features. In both editions, Standard and
DistrictManager, user comfort has once again improved in many details. For example, maps
with different coordinate systems are adjusted automatically. Newly introduced report
types further facilitate the automatic creation of maps and data.
Innovations in the Delivery of Software and Maps
EasyMap 10.5 and the digital base maps are largely provided via download. Doing so we
react to developments in technology – more and more users are equipped with PCs without
CD or DVD drive. After successful download of the software you may request the license
file. It will be immediately sent to you in separate e-mail.
However, if explicitly demanded we provide our software and maps on a portable storage
device.
New Features in both Editions – Highlights
Greater Comfort: flexible combination of maps with different
projections
Among our base maps in LTG-format you also work with your own maps, e.g. in shapefileformat? Maps from different sources are frequently defined with different projections. In
EasyMap 10.5 you may easily combine those maps and display them in different projections
– thanks to automatic reprojection.
More Time Saving: automatic creation of map series
You want to display your turnover for different years and sales territories each in a separate
map? The report function known from previous versions has been extended in EasyMap
10.5 by three report types: filter report, column report as well as nesting of two reports.
Due to the considerable extension of report functions you may now also change and filter
the data and analyses in your map automatically. Thus, you may quickly produce a series
of individual maps.
Stand-alone charts for a clear overview of the entire area
Compare your data for individual areas with the overall situation for example by placing a
column chart for whole Germany on the map. You may choose between analysis-related
and independent charts.

Compatibility
Map files created by EasyMap 9.0 or later (files *.empx) as well as project files created by
DistrictManager 8.4 (files *.dmp) can be used by EasyMap 10.5 without any modification.
However, map files created by EasyMap 10.5 cannot be used with former software
versions.
Map files created by EasyMap 10.5 DistrictManager Edition can be opened and processed
with EasyMap 10.5 Standard Edition (e.g. for analysis and presentations). This split might
be useful for companies, in which some workstations are equipped with the DistrictManager
Edition, while other workstations are equipped with the Standard Edition. However, the
functionality for planning and optimization of territories and locations is not available in the
Standard Edition.
New Features in EasyMap Xplorer 10.5
Xplorer – a tool to share maps with other people – now
has its own icon in the navigation bar in EasyMap 10.5.
You find there the publishing option for the workbook as
well as further information and examples about the
product. Here you may also easily create your free trial
access to the Xplorer portal.
The newest version of EasyMap Xplorer supports all new
features of EasyMap 10.5, e.g. the new report types,
visibility groups and stand-alone charts. Other new
2
features improve the convenience in publishing maps and provide more flexibility and
variety in map and table design:
Introduction of the table object
A table may now be used for data display. It allows for filtering and searching just as in
EasyMap. Of course, report authorizations will be adhered.
Design
The design possibilities of maps have been considerably extended, e.g. with title logo or
legend elements.
Increased comfort in the publishing menu
Settings of one map may be transferred to other maps in a time-saving manner.
User defined web URL of map view
You have zoomed into a map or set a filter in Xplorer and want to present exactly this
view to another colleague? With the new Xplorer this is no problem at all!
