week ended April 1, aggregated $10,557,000,000, or 37 percent above the total re­
ported for the preceding wedr and 22 percent above the total for the corresponding
week of last year.
Aggregate debits for the lUl cities for which a separate total has been main­
tained since January 1919 amounted to $9*938*000,000, compared with $7,192,000,000
the preceding week and $8,01+8,000,000 the week ended April 3 of la-st year.
