a first interpretation can be that working on just one single thing (that you are familiar with)
does not make sure to improve it.
• I am always doing that what I cannot do, so that we may learn how to do it → cit. Pablo
Picasso → in everything we do there is always a learning process and the possibility of having a
different approach to a topic
• Education is not the “learning of the facts”. It is the training of the mind to think → cit. Albert
Einstein → training the mind to solve problems with a different approach

• Question for the class from Milena: What was your purpose in choosing the university?
Answer from the students:
– to find a good job
– to do business in a computer science area
• Often people don’t understand that what you are studying now has the goal to create a capital
of knowledge for yourself
• Education is fantastic for everybody because: study something you like to have a successful life
• What is related to the 3rd industrial revolution?
– Increase of production
– Move commodity with means of transport
– First computer

4th industrial revolution – Digital Era
– Globalization
– Demographics
– The Entrepreneurial Age – human capital is the new asset
– Internet is one of the most important thing of the 4th industrial revolution
– Digitalization have facilitate our society
The industrialization of society when production become the base of our economic activities.
This is the first industrial revolution.
A good which is accessible to a small group of people become a good for people. Ex. cars,
education. Contrary ex helicopter.
Industrialization and automatization of the production processes was the 3rd industrial revolution.
The 4th one is based on internet which has become the main ground, tool and feature of a
company.
#internet, #technology → thanks to Digitalization & Globalization: improvement of mobility
and society.

– The rock stars of today – the entrepreneurs as a mindset, the explorers
– Moving from commodity based to rock’n’roll economy → cit. Michio kaku, Theoretical
Physicist
– The jobs of the future to be built on new skills
– Rock’n’roll economy is an economy of human capital, different rules applies at the model

Answer:
– Google
– Nasa
– Research institution
• The new Role Models:
– Elon Musk: founder of SpaceX
– Steve Jobs: founder of Apple
– Richard Branson: founder of Virgin

• Today a lot companies have been created from entrepreneurs with a lot of imagination
– For example the founder of Virgin started from the idea of changing the travel between UK
and USA across Atlantic Ocean
– The founder of SpaceX wants to realize a space travel. In particular the group of entrepreneurs who have participated to fund SpaceX have already found other companies not
related with space, but now they want to change/differentiate their business
• To become a business person you have to improve your skills in your area of interest
– Steve Jobs is an example on how think differently

Question for the class from Milena: What is your conclusion from the video?
• Wikipedia: the idea of the founder is to share knowledge with everyone for free
• People in the EU don’t want to take risks, but in USA people are different, they want to take
risks
• The new jobs will be based on common sense and non repetitiveness:

– Critical Thinking
– Collaboration
