What is something you’ve done outside that your really enjoyed? Where were you? What did it look like? How was the weather? Be as descriptive and specific as possible. CHRISTOPHER MARLOWE Presents shepherd in idealized rural settings. Tend to use courtly speech and treat themes such as love. They have metrical patterns and rhyme schemes that help give them a musical or songlike quality. The imagery of the poems derive from commonplace country settings. In reading pastoral poetry, you should look for details of pastoral life & the use of nature imagery to convey emotions and ideas.
