ANZAC Ceremony
On Wednesday we had our
ANZAC Ceremony. It was great
to see the number of special
guests and families coming along to the 100 year
commemoration of the Gallipoli landing. Our school choir
sounded absolutely amazing, well done to all the members of
our school choir. Our School Captains, Esha and Baron, did
very well with one of their first speeches in front of our school
community. Well done and thank you to Fiona Jamieson for her
organisation of this event. Once again it was outstanding.

OATLANDS CROSS COUNTRY TRIALS
A reminder to all students in years 3-6 our Cross
st
Country Trials will be held Friday 1 May from
9.00am.
Grade 3 students will complete a 1km course at
9.00am.
10yr Girls and Boys will complete a 2km course at
approximately 9.30am.
11yr Girls and Boys will complete a 3km course at
approximately 10.00am.
12yr Girls and Boys will complete a km course at
approximately 10.30am.
Please bring a change of clothes, socks and shoes in
case of inclement weather.
PLEASE NOTE ALL TIMES ARE APPROXIMATE
Students will be running for their house, so we
encourage the students to wear clothing in their
appropriate colours.
THE STUDENTS ARE TO WEAR THEIR HOUSE
COLOURS ON THE DAY AS THIS IS A HOUSE
EVENT.

2016 Prep Open Day
Recently we had our Open Day for our 2016 Prep students.
This was a busy morning, with many families taking advantage
of the school tours and information sessions. Positions are
filling up for 2016 and if you have a child who is looking at
starting Prep at Oatlands PS next year, we would encourage
you to enrol as soon as possible.
FRASER
We encourage all Oatlands Community members to
attend and support our students.
Special Draw
Congratulations to a family from 1JS who was
drawn out by Mr Holloway. They have
received a refund of the fully paid fees.
House Cross Country Championship
On Friday morning we have our Cross Country trials. The
students have been preparing for this event through their
physical education sessions and through the Active April
Program. The cross country track has a section of new
concrete which has improved this area during the wet months.
Cyber Safety
With our current technology and availability of cyber programs
and apps it is even more important than ever to monitor your
child’s online activity. The technology has many advantages
and it certainly has changed so much over the past 20 years,
so keeping up with apps and programs can be challenging and
difficult.

2015 School Fees
Our school fees for 2015 have been confirmed at $160 by
School Council. This may be paid up front by Friday 27 th
February or in three instalments of $80 by the end of Term
1,$40 by the end of Term 2 and $40 by the end of Term 3.
Parking
No parents should be entering the staff car park
to drop off or collect their children from school. Also
please obey the “No Parking” signs in the streets
around the school. We have had a number of
complaints from neighbours.
