On Sunday afternoons, our 4-concert Family Series offers a mix of fun,
thematic orchestral music to engage and entertain children ages 5-12.
It’s a one-of-a-kind musical experience to share together.
Instrument Playground
Starting at 2:00 pm before each family concert, bring your children for
a musical adventure in Instrument Playground located throughout
Powell Hall. Together you’ll discover many different orchestral instruments
in this hands-on experience. It’s their chance to learn, touch and play.

Athletes of the Orchestra
Did you know that the musicians in an orchestra are
athletes? They have a coach, known as the conductor,
they practice and play as a team. Join in the fun and
meet all the athletes in the STL Symphony. From the
Star-Spangled Banner, Casey at the Bat, to the St. Louis
Blues March and more, it’s game day at Powell Hall!

The STL Symphony, The 442s and Remix Project Ensemble
present a surprise musical experience for the entire family.
Enjoy classic melodies from Prokofiev’s Romeo & Juliet
complete with a modern-day twist and contemporary
narration. Experience Prokofiev’s music like never before.
Remix Project Ensemble, an education program of L.I.F.E ARTS INC.,
develops the leaders of today through the arts one life at a time.

Pinocchio’s Adventures in Funland
Gemma New, conductor
Travel to funland with the STL Symphony as they
bring to life the enchanting tale of Carlo Collodi’s
most beloved marionette, all while entertaining,
educating and introducing your family to the riches of
concert music. This concert will also feature excerpts
from other childhood favorites including The Barber
of Seville Overture and Carnival of the Animals!

A World of Make-Believe

Music sparks the imagination! It transports us to
faraway lands and leads us on thrilling adventures.
Discover how music and imagination work hand in
hand as your STL Symphony takes you on a journey
through make-believe. Hear family favorites by the
