Hear booming bass drums recreate cannon fire in
an all-Russian concert to mark the centenary of the
country’s revolution (November 25) or indulge in the
romance of Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet (March 8).
Tchaikovsky’s Sleeping Beauty Suite is also included
(November 9) and there is another chance to hear 6000
Pipes!, the piece composed by Sir Karl Jenkins for Hull
UK City of Culture 2017 (February 24).
We also welcome piano virtuoso Mark Bebbington (April
12), one of a stellar line-up of performers joining the
orchestras this season which also includes Alessandro
Taverna who travels from Venice to perform (May 12)
and China’s Hong Xu (May 24).
With tickets starting from just £8, we look forward
to welcoming you to Hull City Hall Classics 2017/18.
