Auctions (in theory)… are events in which market prices for given objects are negotiated and determined based on the individual price limits of the bidders. In Reverse Auctions … suppliers are bidding for goods/services specified by a buyer. The position of their own quote in relation to the quotes of the competitors is (more or less) transparent to the suppliers. Within a pre-defined time-frame all suppliers may submit multiple bids in order to improve their position.
