AcryGlaze Matt Clear Acrylic Enamel
AcryGlaze Gloss combines the toughness of enamel paint with the ease of an acrylic paint.
It is a water based alternative to clear solvent systems and is particularly suited to interior
applications over dressed timber and wooden joinery.

Heat resistance – 70˚C maximum
Fast dry – quicker job turnaround
Water resistance – excellent – suitable for all internal
wet areas such as bathrooms, laundries and kitchens
Low odour – reoccupy times reduced
Clarity stable – will not yellow
Typical areas of use
Chemical resistance – resistant to household
cleaners: avoid acids and alcohols
Solvent resistance – poor resistance to strong solvents
Protecting movie/TV set construction materials
and paint work
Gloss
Developing the grain and protecting interior timber
trim and doors
Gloss level and description – matt 5–7% @
60 degrees

Application methods
General preparation of the surface to be painted
should be completed before commencing
application.
Good quality paint or cutting in brush
All loose material must be removed and surface
damage or imperfections made good.
The surface must be clean, dry and free of
contaminants.
Application schedule
Touch dry 15 minutes
Re-coat time (minimum) 2 hours
Curing time 7 days
Practical coverage 12–15 square meters per litre
Short nap roller – 4.5mm–8mm
Clean up and thinning
Clean up all equipment with water.
On very dry substrates or, in warm and/or low
humidity, AcryGlaze Matt may be thinned by
the addition of up to 50mls of water per litre.
Hot weather – thinners may be added during very
hot weather at the rate of up to 50mls per litre.
Excessive thinning will lengthen drying times
and may have a detrimental impact on handling
characteristics.
Dry film thickness @ 12 square meters per litre
22 microns per coat
Application is not recommended if the surface and/
or air temperature is less than 10˚C or is liable to fall
below 10˚C during the drying period.
Paint requirements
New timber joinery and doors
3 coats at 12–15 square meters per litre per coat
Sand between coats if grain raising occurs
Paint effects
Compatibility should be evaluated before proceeding
