Dan Oram and Jim Ballinger of Shawnee Mission
East defeated David Hoover and Steve Snodgrass of
Winfield 6-3,.4-6 and 8-6, to wintheClass AA doubles
title in the State Tennis Tournament held at Kansas
State University, Manhattan on May 20. Oram was a
member of last year's championship doubles team.
Hoover and Snodgrass were runners-up a year ago.
Bob Alloo of Shawnee Mission East defeated Jeff
Corbin of Wichita Southeast 6-2, 6-4, enabling the
Lancers to sweep the Class AA titles. Alloo won his
title without dropping a set.
The Class A-B doubles championship went to Dale
Evans and Terry Martin of Russell when theydefeated
David Ediger and Darell Ediger of Buhler inthe finals
6-1, 6-1.
Bill Carr of Anthony won the A-B singles championship in a close contest with previously undefeated
Steve Balzer of Buhler. The championship match went
three sets with Carr winning 6-3' l-6 and 10-8. Carr
was a member of last year's doubles championship
team.
