Summer Music Program

Monday through Friday
Classes run approximately one hour each.
The summer beginning band and orchestra program is a three week entry
into the wonderful world of band and orchestra in middle school.
Deadline for registration is May 26
It is highly recommended that all students joining their school’s beginning band and beginning orchestra will attend this program and
participate at the site closest to their middle school. In many cases, students will study with their future middle school music teacher
and will meet their future classmates if they enroll at the site nearest their midle school. If you have any questions regarding beginning
band or orchestra, equipment, or the summer program, please contact the music teacher at the middle school you will attend in the fall.
* A limited number of scholarships are available for students with financial considerations. Contact the director at your future middle
school for more information. Do not contact Scott Schlup for scholarships - these are done through the individual schools.

sessions.
Each site has a
“remedial” time to
help students that
may struggle, or to
catch students up that
have to miss classes
because of vacations.
You can talk with your
summer teacher if you
need to take advantage
of the remedial class.
For the summer of 2017, we will be offering summer music at five sites: Students attending Boltz and Lesher are encouraged to attend the Lesher site; Students attending Kinard and Preston are encouraged to attend the Kinard Site; Blevins, Lincoln and Webber students are encouraged to attend the Blevins site. - You are welcome to
choose any site or time that fits your schedule.

Registration Form - Beginning Program
Registration materials and checks (made out to PSD Summer Music) should be mailed or delivered to Scott Schlup c/o
Rocky Mountain High School 1300 W. Swallow Rd. Fort Collins CO 80526. Deadline for registration is May 26, 2017.
Everyone that submits their form prior to the May 26 deadline is guaranteed a spot in the program at the time/site you request. If you submit your registration between
May 27 and June 9, you will receive a spot if one is available, otherwise you will be placed in a class at a different site/time as openings exist. If you need to submit
your registration after June 9, you will have to bring it with you (with payment) to the first class meeting - you will be allowed to join if space allows - otherwise you
will need to check a different location. DO NOT mail or drop off your registrations after June 9 - they will not be delivered until mail delivery resumes to the schools in
August.
