Overseas: Sales into Southern Europe and North America improved steadily. 5 Business by Segment - Sensing Products Business Automatic Door Sensors (Unit: Million yen) ■Net Sales:1,174 million yen, year-to-year comparison +5% +53 million yen (Japan -8%, North America +23%, Europe +14%) Japan:Orders down because results in 1Q of prior year were bolstered by rush of orders ahead of consumption tax hike. Overseas:OEM sales for major automatic door manufacturers in North America and Europe rose steadily. 6 Business by Segment - Factory Automation Business (Unit: Million yen) ■Net Sales:1,330 million yen, year-to-year comparison +9% +106 million yen (Japan+16%, Europe -7%, Asia+52%) Japan: Sales of LED lighting used for visual inspections of products on electronic component and semiconductor production lines were sharply higher.
