Composition:
Sodium Chloride 0.9% w/v
Inactive ingredients:
Benzalkonium Chloride, Purified Water
Therapeutic Activity:
Moisturizes the nasal mucosa and thus eases mucous exudation
and nose blowing.
Indications:
This medicine is intended to relieve nasal congestion in infants
and small children.
When not to use this medicine?
Do not use if you are sensitive to any of the components of
this medicine.
Do not start to use this medicine without first consulting
your physician:
If you are suffering or have suffered in the past from impaired
function of the heart and/or blood system, hypertension, the liver.
Warnings:
Do not use this medicine frequently or for a prolonged period
without consulting a physician.
If you are sensitive to any food or medicine, inform your physician
before taking this medicine.
Do not use this medicine if there is a change in its colour or when
it becomes cloudy.
Drug Interactions:
If the child is taking another drug concomitantly or if he/she has
just finished treatment with another medicine, inform the treating
physician in order to prevent hazards or inefficacy arising from
drug interactions.
Side Effects:
In addition to the desired effect of the medicine, some side effects
may also appear during treatment such as: skin rash, local
irritation or burning sensation.
Effects that require special attention:
Hypertension (as a flushed face), eruption or local inflammation
(which did not exist before using the drug) - (rare): stop the
treatment and consult your physician.
In any event, if the child experiences a side effect which is not
mentioned in this leaflet, or if you see an adverse change in the
general health condition you should consult the physician
immediately.
Adverse Reactions and Drug Interactions in children and
infants:
Parents must report to the treating physician every side effect
and also any additional medicine taken by the child!
See the above section for special side effects.
Recommended Dosage unless otherwise directed by the
physician:
1-2 drops in each nostril 3-4 times daily.
Do not exceed the recommended dose.
If there is no improvement in the child's health within 3 days
consult your physician.
Attention:
Do not swallow! This medicine is intended for External Use Only.
Care should be taken to measure the dose with a dropper.
Directions for use:
Clean the child's nose gently. Pull his head backwards, or lie him
on the bed. Drip the drop into each nostril and keep his head
tilted back for a few minutes to enable dispersion of the medicine
in the nasal area. To avoid spreading of the infection, do not use
the same bottle for more than one person.
Prevent Poisoning! This medicine, like all medicines, should
be kept in a closed cupboard, out of the reach of children and/or
infants in order to prevent poisoning. If you have taken an overdose,
or if a child accidentally swallowed some of the medicine, go
immediately to the emergency room of a hospital and bring with
you any remaining medicine and the original packaging.
Do not induce vomiting without explicit instructions from the
physician!
Do not take any medicine in the dark! Carefully check the label
and dose each time you take the medicine. Wear your glasses
if you need them.
Storage: Keep in a cool place.
Even if stored according to the manufacturer's recommendations,
all medicines have a limited shelf life. Please pay attention to the
expiry date of the medicine. If you have any doubts, please
consult the dispensing pharmacist.
Do not store different medicines in the same container.
