TGV
The high-speed TGV (Train à Grande Vitesse) trains connect over 150 cities and towns in France. TGV has proudly served these
cities in France and neighbouring Switzerland since 1981. A journey from Paris to Bordeaux will take only 3 hours on these trains as
they reach a world-record holding 320 km/h. For 20 years it has regularly linked more than 150 destinations in France and Europe
safely, quickly and comfortably.

Rules
TGV trains can only be reserved 90 days prior to the train departure date.
Reservations are compulsory. All single tickets purchased include a seat reservation in the price. Tickets need to be validated
using the automatic stamping machines at the beginning of the platform prior to boarding the train.
Eurail Passholders are welcome. However a seat reservation fee is compulsory.
Onboard TGV
Both classes:
Refurbished interior and spacious seating organization.
On board nursery: equipped with a dressing table and a bottle-warmer (in 2nd class car)
A choice of newspapers and magazines to buy at the bar
A bar and food counter: open for the duration of the journey. You will find a variety of food and refreshments to enjoy in the bar
car: breakfast formula, meals, warm and cold dishes, sandwiches, dessert, warm and cold beverages
Facilities for handicapped travellers: on all major routes, the TGV have a special coach in 1st class (accessible with a second
class ticket) which has built-in wheelchair lift and a bookable space for a wheelchair. Facilities in stations.
All TGV's are entirely non smoking
First class

Other new features / spaces
The Carré is a seating configuration with two sets of two seats facing each other (on both sides of the aisle) with a table in
between. A glass screen separates several Carrés from the rest of the car.
The Kiosque is similar to the Carré but offers additional privacy. Instead of the glass screen there is a solid glass panel that
makes the section look like a compartment.
Luggage racks are available above seats and at the entrance of each car.

Passholder Fares explained:
There are 3 types of Passholder fares available for the TGV Brussels-France train. They are defined below:
Pass 1 valid for passengers with a pass covering France and Belgium (cheapest fare)
Pass 2 valid for passengers with a pass covering France
Pass 3 valid for passengers with a pass covering Belgium
First class
A Solo seat for peace and privacy.
2 adjoining seats or a Club space for working in groups of two or four.
Power sockets for laptop or mobile phone
Larger seats, recline electronically
A space for a person in a wheelchair is available. Traveller must request it when making their reservation.
Second class
Comfort, convenience
Access to the bar service.

First Class Premier
The new Lyria première service is available on Paris-Geneva and Paris-Lausanne/Bern routes ONLY!

TGV Lyria - new lounge at Paris Gare de Lyon
TGV Lyria first class travellers between Paris and Switzerland can now enjoy the Salon SNCF Grand Voyageur at Paris Gare de Lyon.
Travellers can relax while waiting for their departure and enjoy services including:
free WiFi, charging facilities for mobile devices, daily newspapers, magazines, and more
Hours of operation - Monday - Friday: 6:30am - 8:00pm - Saturday: 7:30am - 12:30pm - Sundays: 2:00pm - 7:30pm
The Salon SNCF Grand Voyageur at Paris Gare de Lyon is located on level 1 of the station's Hall 3, near the lift for
Mediterranean parking, between the Relay boutique and SNCF La Radio
