Form at: Two (2) sites. Three (3) pools. Four/five (4/5) teams per site. Three (3) pool
play games. Top team from each site plus wild card advances to 4-team playoff.
Remaining teams play non-common opponent from other pool.
Entry Fee: $400, payable to “Elkhorn Legion Baseball.” Please have entry fee turned in

Bat Classic
Welcome to the 2015 Elkhorn/Elkhorn South Post 211 Wood Bat Classic!
Enclosed is a list of tournament rules and a schedule for the tournament.
GAME RULES: Rules are the same that apply for the National American Legion
post-season competition unless otherwise noted. Nine-inning games. No
pitching limits. No re-entry. No courtesy runners. DH may be used for only
the pitcher.
HOME TEAM/DUGOUT: Decided by coin toss with tournament director prior to
game. Bold team will occupy third base dugout. Elkhorn and Elkhorn South
are the home teams in their games.
OFFICIAL SCOREBOOK: Maintained in the press box. Please provide roster to
press box at least fifteen minutes before game time.
TIME LIMIT: Eight-run rule after seven innings. All games will begin approximately
30 minutes after completion of the previous game.
INFIELD/OUTFIELD: Allowed prior to first game of the day (7-8 minutes) unless
eliminated by tournament director due to weather considerations or time
constraints. Please warm-up in the outfield and not in the grass between the
dugout and the infield.
BATTING CAGES: Three (3) batting cages at Frerichs Legion Field, two (2)
batting cages at Elkhorn South and two (2) batting cages at Elkhorn High
open to tournament teams for pre-game warm-up. Please do not use spikes
in the cages.
TIE BREAKING CRITERIA (in order): Overall Record, Head-to-Head Result,
Fewest Total Runs Allowed, Run Differential in All Games, Coin Flip.
TROPHIES: Laser engraved bat for Tournament Champion and Tournament
Runner-Up.
WOOD BATS: Elkhorn and Elkhorn South Post 211 will provide wood bats for
team use. Teams are welcome to use their own wood bats.
ICE FOR INJURIES OR PITCHERS: Provided at concession stand upon request if
available.
CONCESSION STANDS: Full concession stand is available. NO OUTSIDE FOOD,
WATER, OR DRINKS WILL BE ALLOWED…PLEASE INFORM YOUR
PARENTS OF THIS!
INCLEMENT WEATHER: Tournament Director may alter game schedule and/or
game length as necessary due to inclement weather.
ADMISSION: Gate fees: $5.00/person, Senior Citizens & Students w/ID are
$3.00, Veterans & Kids 5 & under are Free.
