Support Crew It is important we keep the number of vehicles on the course to an absolute
minimum, therefore crew are asked to meet runners at designated Checkpoints
only. These can be reached via radial routes identified above. Under no
circumstances are vehicles allowed to follow runners. Failure to comply with this,
with the exception of emergencies could result in the removal of the team from the
race.
Please note there is strictly no muling or pacing, although you may have
accompanying runners if the team is not in contention for a prize. We trust your
judgement and honesty in this.
Finish
The course is a circular run, therefore the start and finish are at the same location.
Family and friends who wish to spectate or collect your broken bodies should meet
here. There will be juice and rolls available for runners at the finish.
We encourage competitors to stay after they have finished their own run, and
applaud fellow runners as they finish.
Prize Giving
This will take place at a suitable time after each of the prize winners has
finished. We anticipate this being around 15:00.
Showers
There are changing facilities with the School and showers available at a nearby
Sports Centre ML10 6DR for a nominal charge.
Safety
This race is being run on open roads and you run at your own risk. The route crosses
a few roads and whilst these are marshalled, please take great care and remove
earphones etc to allow you to hear instructions from Marshalls.
Etiquette
Please allow Race Officials to do their job by following their instructions, with
particular regard to blocking their visibility of runners with cars.
Please be courteous to Race officials and Marshalls who give up their spare time to
allow us to take part in the sport we love.
Please do not drop any litter, if you see someone dropping litter please ask them to
pick it up or take it to the next Checkpoint.
Please note that the Race Director may withdraw any runner or team or crew from
the race if their behaviour is deemed unacceptable, inconsiderate or may
jeopardize the future of the event.
