How Do I Sign Up?
Follow these steps to buy and schedule your online exam.
1. Register
Go to our ProctorU portal, click Log In and sign up for a new account.
2. Select Your Exam
Select CompTIA as your institution (if this is your first time using ProctorU, it will be your default choice),
the year in which you want to take the exam and the exam you wish to take.
3. View the Exam Schedule
You can choose to take your exam immediately or into the future. On the left-hand sidebar, you’ll see the
period of time for which the exam is available.
4. Confirm Session
When you click “Select,” you’ll be taken to a confirmation screen, where you can add or remove exams.
When you’re ready, click “Proceed to Cart” to check out and pay.
5. Checkout
You’ll have one more opportunity to review your purchases before entering your payment information.
If you’re happy with what’s in your cart, click “Proceed to Payment.”
6. Pay
You can pay for your exam online with a credit or debit card. After you’ve paid, you’ll receive a confirmation email,
and the exam will appear in your “My Sessions” dashboard with a countdown clock to your scheduled exam.
7. Check Your Equipment
You can check your equipment at any time, even before you buy your exam, with the help of ProctorU support staff.
Click the “Test Your Equipment” button on your “My Sessions” dashboard or in your “Confirm Session” window.
8. Prepare
Now that you’ve scheduled your exam and checked your equipment, it’s time to study. If for some reason you
need to reschedule your exam, you can do so from the “My Sessions” dashboard. The ProctorU portal also has
24/7 support available via chat if you have questions about anything on the testing site.
