Grade Five Working With Words#8: Words with Suffix-tion The suffix -tion can be added to many verbs to form nouns. Verbs drop a letter, add a letter, or change a letter when -tion is added. Word Endings: Suffixes The computer is on the blink! Every list word it prints has the wrong suffix. Read Reynaldo’s how-to-paragraph. He made four spelling errors, one punctuation error, and one capitalization error. Correct them. The key to giving a great party is careful planning and discusion. First, you should talk over your plans with Tip: Be sure to use a comma before joining words such as and, or, and, but in a compound your family and you should get their approval. Then, list each friend to whom you will send an inviteation. Include many of your friends. they do not have to know each other. Next decide what snacks you will serve and who will help with the preperation. Finally, choose music. Make your party the celebracion of the year! Include some compound sentences. Compound sentences are when to sentences are join with a camma and a conjunction. For example: Always have lots of snacks. Some of the snacks should be healthy.
