Grace Lutheran Council Minutes
June 14, 2015
Members Present: Tina Bauermeister, Erica French, Nate Gruys, Carla Jones, Pastor Martin, Willia Mueske, John Salewske, Eric
Winger, Gary Zeman and Manny Zempel
Members Absent: Monte Burrell, Elaine Greer and Leslie Pavelko
Call to Order: Willia called the meeting to order.
Devotions: Pastor Martin opened with Revelation 21 verse 5. 1971 of Rolling Stones Album 45 yrs old . This is a reminder that
God makes all things new.
Minutes: Minutes of the last meetings were reviewed, Manny made a motion to accept and approve the minutes. Tina
seconded the motion and the motion carried.
Financial Report: The monthly and year to date financial report were reviewed. Eric made a motion to accept and approve the
April and May Treasurer’s Report. Nate seconded and the motion carried.
Columbarium Update – Variance paperwork submitted and there would be a public hearing on June 8th. The City requested to
drop the variance and do a change in zoning laws instead. It will take 3 reading for the approval. They hope have it approved
by mid-July or end of July.
Church Hosts should be greeting people, starting the radio, doing the projector and setting up communion. Willia will create a
“new” to do listing.
2 people to help - 1 council member and 1 grace member will be the plan.
Spirit Lake Cruise in Downtown Hill Avenue- June 27th-4pm-7pm-Kiwanis Club will not be participating this year. John asked if
the youth would have any interest to sell pre-cooked brats. Pat Palmberg would maybe be able to help on what the Kiwanis
Club did in the past. Thrivent Team Events could be able to help with costs.
Family & Education Ministry:
No discussion
Worship & Music Ministry:
We need to find an organist/Pianist….and Music Director
Carol Ayers @ ILCC may have a college student that could help us out.
Service & Outreach Ministry:
Air Condition and Heater has been installed (2 furnaces and 2 AC).
Erica will work with Deb to expand Facebook and create a Twitter Account.
Council Host Schedule: June 21 -Nate, June 28 –Willia, July 5 -Manny, July 12 –Tina, July 19 –Willia, July 26 -John, August 2Willia, August 9th-Eric
We will plan a “working” Ministry meeting for us in the next few weeks.

Erica moved to adjourn. Manny seconded. Motion carried. Pastor Martin and Council members closed with the Lord’s Prayer.
