On September 21,The Commerce Tiger football team took on
the Wyandotte Bears. It was a big game for the Tigers. The score
was 35-0 at halftime. Even though the Tigers were winning so badly,
they did not let up till the end of the game. The Tigers came out on
top with a score of 48-8, making that the Tigers first district game
win of the year! The Tigers record is now 3-1. The Tigers will face
the Kansas Comets in week 2 of the district games! Go El Tigres!

Lady Tigers Softball Districts
Thursday, September 20, 2012, the Lady Tigers had 5 runs
against Fairland including an exciting home-run from Breanna
Blankenship!( You go girl!) During the second game we were
getting some really good hits from: Aly Morton, Thaylia Degner,
Julianna Summers, Delaney Ballard, Cortney Craig, Rachel
Hartsock, and Breanna Blankenship!
We ended up beating Fairland 15-0 in the second final district
game!:)

Lady Tiger Softball
The Lady Tigers are almost done with their season. They have a
record of 19-7. We have seven returning starts, Junior center
fielder Delaney Ballard, Junior catcher Julianna Summers, Senior
3rd baseman Kara Myers, 2nd baseman Thaylia Degner, Pitcher
Aly Morton, and Senior Breanna Blankenship moved from right
field into 1st base. Sophomore Rachel Hartsock is starting at
shortstop, Junior Madison Moss is starting in right field and Senior Cortney Craig starting in left field. The whole team is doing
very good and playing well together. There are 26 girls on the
team altogether. We are Conference Champs and District Champions and are playing in the Regional Tournament Sept. 27-29.

Commerce Cheer!
The 2012-2013 cheerleaders have been working hard all summer! We had a rough summer. We have had many injuries along
the way. All the girls are finally back and we’re working hard.
We recently competed in Regionals at Booker T. Washington, We
competed against last year’s State Champions Lincoln Christian,
Colcord, Kansas, Pawhuska, and Warner. We came out and performed great and won the Regional Champion title! On Saturday, September 22 we competed at OSU for state and placed
third. Great job Ladies! Your hard work is appreciated.
