1. ProductUseStatement
ConquerorPIRSandwichPanelisdesignedtobeusedasanexteriorbuildingcladdingforroofsand
wallsofindustrialandcommercialbuildings.ItisintendedthatConquerorpanelbeinstalledusing
ConquerorstandardflashingdetailsandthatinstallationgenerallycomplieswiththeNewZealand
MetalRoofManufacturersInc.–NZMetalRoofandWallCladdingCodeofPractice2012.
ConquerorpanelissuitableforuseinatmosphericcorrosivitycategoriesA,BandC,asdefinedby
AS/NZS2312:2002foraminimum15yeardurabilitylife.InacorrosivitycategoryCenvironment,
recommendedmaintenanceconsistsofrainwashingforroofsandrainwashingplusmanualwashing
eachyearforwalls.Foruseincategory’D’zonepleasereferto3.
Conquerorpanelisnotsuitabletobeusedas:
§ Astructuralbracingelement
§ Infreezerorcoolstoreapplications,asthezincalumeprotectivecoatingisnotdesignedfor
theseatmosphericconditions.

2.1 PerformanceandFunctionalRequirements
§ SuitableforuseinatmosphericcorrosivitycategoriesA,BandC,asdefinedbyAS/NZS2312:
2002.
§ InaccordancewiththerequirementsoftheNewZealandBuildingCodeclauseB2.3.1(b)(i),
ConquerorPIRsandwichpanelhasanominateddurabilitylifeof15yearswhennormal
maintenanceisundertaken.

2.2.1 MetalSkins
MetalskinsconsistofGrade300SteelmanufacturedbyPoscoKoreatoJIS-G3322:2012(Japanese
IndustrialStandard,“Prepaintedhot-dip55%aluminium-zincalloy-coatedsteelsheetandstrip”).
CorrosionprotectiontotheupperandlowerexposedsteelfacesisprovidedbyAZ150zincalume
coating,over-coatedwitha25µmthicknesssiliconmodifiedpolyestercoating.
APoscosteelmillwarrantyisattached.
2.2.2 PIRFoamCore
Therigidpolyisocyanurate(PIR)foamcoreismanufacturedtotheWoojoHightechspecificationWR2015N.Atechnicaldatasheetisattachedforreferencepurposes.
DurabilityofthePIRfoamcorehasbeentestedbythesuppliertoASTMD2126-09.ThePIRfoam
willremainstablewithoutdeteriorationforaminimumof20yearsinnormalclimates.

(POS-Super Advanced Durable Polyester) POSCO Coated & Color steel Co., Ltd.(POSCO C&C) hereby warrants that, subject to the
provisions contained herein, POS-Super ADP coated sheets (PSP2) shall meet the following
standards for a period of 15years from the date of shipment from POSCO C&C. This guarantee applies to paint film adhesion of PSP2 products manufactured by POSCO

Anydefectmustberecognizedbynakedeyeinvestigationverticallyfromadistanceof2meters.
Defectsforcrazingorcrackingthatmayoccurfromrollformingorsheetformingarenotcovered
underthiswarranty.
2.2.2ManufacturingDefects
Conquerorinsulatedconstructionpaneliswarrantiedagainstfaultsgeneratedduringproduction.
Suchwarrantyshallcoverthereplacementofthedefectiveproduct.Anysuchfaultmustaffectthe
performanceoftheproductoverthenormalservicelifeoftheproduct.
3. Fade or change in color
FadingorchangingisnotexcessasdeterminedinaccordancewiththeproceduresoutlinedinASTM
D2244-93measuredontheexposedpainedsurfaceswhichhavebeencleanedofexternaldeposits
(dirt,oil,grease,foreignmaterial,oxidizedfilm,etc)andchalkperASTMD3964.Itisunderstood
thatfadingorcolorchangesmaynotbeuniformifthesurfacesarenotequallyexposedtothesun
andelements.
4. Chalk
Chalkwillnotexceednumericalratingswhenmeasuredinaccordancewiththestandardprocedure
specifiedinASTMD4214-89oncleansurfaceafterremovingdirt,othersurfacedepositperASTMD
3964.

WARRANTY CONDITIONS
1. Thewarrantyissubjecttothefollowingareasonly:NEWZEALAND
2. The surface preparation and paint application should be accorded to the painting specification
provedbyPPGSSC.
3. Thewarrantyperiodshouldbecountedfromthedateoftheinstallationofthepanel.Thepanel
shouldnotbeexceeded6monthsafterpaintapplication.Thiswarrantywillnotcoverdamageto
thecoatingdueto:Improperprocessing,transportation,handlingorinstallation.
4. This warranty will not apply to the defects caused by water infiltration due to improper
packaging.
5. This warranty will not apply to the performance failure when the paint is irregularly applied
becauseoftheunevensubstrate.
6. PPG SSC assumes no responsibility for the defects caused by the improper application
procedures,coatingthickness,pre-treatment,substrate.
7. Thiswarrantydoesnotextendtopeeling,checking,crackingcausedbymechanicalimpacttothe
coatedsheetandfracturingofzincsurface.
8.Thiswarrantyisnotvalidwhenthereisanexposureinabnormalconditions(aggressiveor
polluted)suchashumidarea,tropicalarea,theplacewithin1miledistancefromtheseashore,the
vicinityofchemicalorironindustries,etc.
9.Thiswarrantyshallnotbeappliedtothedamageoffailurewhichisoccurringfromnaturalis
aster,fire,flood,explosion,fallingstone,actsofwar,riots.
10.
Claims must be submitted within the guarantee period and within thirty (30) days
discoveringthedefect.
POSCOC&CmustnotifythedefectcontentstoPPGSSCinwritingandgivePPGSSCareasonable
opportunitytoinspectthematerial.
11.
POSCO C&C must offer to PPG SSC concerning each 3 pieces of sample panel (A4 size)
mentioned coil no, product name and lot no. of paint coating data, coating conditions, and end
user.
12.
Thiswarrantyislimitedsolelytotheperformancefailureduetothepaintdefectsandthe
abovementionedwarrantyitems.
13.
Intheeventofanycoatingfailure,PPGSSC’sliabilityshallnotinanyeventexceedtheinitial
costofthepaintwhicharespecifiedinthecontractbetweenbothparties.
