Background: NAB Connect provides the functionality to upload financial files via a mailbox (or series of mailboxes, depending on the services required). This service allows for bulk transactions to be uploaded directly to NAB Connect, replacing the requirement for manual entry of transactions while still applying security features such as payment limits and authorisation rules. Once processed acknowledgement files will be available in the Download area of the Financial file transfer window (refer to ‘View and export a financial file’ Quick Reference Guide. Please refer to the NAB Connect Consolidated file format document for more information on file formats and file size limits. Steps 1 Upload file Financial file upload currently supports the following services: BPAY Batch – registered customers can upload a BPAY Batch file containing multiple 1:1 BPAY payments for bulk processing, providing a single debit to your bank account. Direct entry payments debiting other banks accounts (ie.TNA) – registered customers can upload direct entry payments which are settled from another banks account. 1.1 From the Services menu select Financial file transfer. 1.2 The Financial file transfer screen will display with the downloaded files showing by default. 1.3 Click on the Upload files tab. Process summary 1 Upload file 2 Process file (includes Authorisation process) NAB Connect QRG: Upload and process financial files Note: The number of file transfers pending authorisation will appear within the tab name. 1 1.4 Click on the Upload file button. 1.5 The Upload file window will display. 1.11 The window will be updated to indicate the success of the file upload to NAB Connect. It will also provide a summary of the information you entered as well as an ID number, date/time stamp and a file status. Note: Please take note of the message as it indicates that it may take up to 5 minutes before the upload record appears on the register. 1.12 Once the file has been successfully uploaded, it can be viewed in the Upload files register. The file will now be ready for authorisation. 1.6 Select the Mailbox from the drop-down list. Note: The Upload files register will show a listing of previously uploaded files and include a workflow status on each file. The status could include the following information: Note: Multiple mail boxes may be registered and displayed within this drop down for available file types. 1.7 Select the appropriate File type Note: File types are dependent upon the mailbox selected. Status field values Definition 1.8 Enter a Reference value. Validating File has been received and is being validated. 1.9 Click on the Select file link to open the files browser screen and locate the file to be uploaded. Requires authorisation File is being held for appropriate authorisation. Authorisation requirements will depend on what has been configured for your mailbox. 1.10 Click on the Upload button. NAB Connect QRG: Upload and process financial files 2 Processing File is being processed by NAB Connect. Rejected The file has either been rejected by an authorising user or an administrator. Sent The file has been released to NAB. No further action is required by the customer. 2 Process file (includes Authorisation process) 2.6 Select the file record by clicking on the File message ID hyperlink to open the File Details window 2.7 Review the information on the File Details window: 2.8 Once the details have been reviewed, click the Authorise button to proceed to the Authorisation screen. Background: Authorisation will be required in accordance with each customer’s specific configuration of NAB Connect: Authorisation process 2.1 From the Services menu select Financial file transfer. 2.2 Click on the Upload files button. 2.3 Click the More options button in order to access filtering options. 2.4 Select Status of ‘Requires authorisation’. 2.5 Click the Display button. Note: You may select to Reject the file, which will then display as Rejected in the Upload files register and cannot be processed. Authorise the file by entering a One-time password (generated by your security token), and clicking the Authorise button. 2.9 The following confirmation message will be displayed Note: The file will need to be authorised by the number of authorisers configured in your mailbox authorisation settings.
