Educators employed by publicly-funded boards of Education in Ontario and instructors at Ontario Faculties of
Education are invited to participate in the GAINS Math CAMPPP 2012 at Kempenfelt Conference Centre in
Barrie during either of the following weeks: from noon on Monday, July 23 to noon on Friday, July 27 or from
noon on Monday, August 20 to noon on Friday, August 24. The cost of shared accommodation, meals, and
travel (according to ministry guidelines) will be paid in full by the MathGAINS, Ministry of Education. The
GAINS Math CAMPPP organizers will make all arrangements for meals and accommodation. Please make
your own travel arrangements.
Sessions are designed for teachers of Mathematics and/or Special Education, coaches, consultants, and faculty
of education instructors. Administrators and other educational leaders are also welcome to attend. Acceptances
will be determined by date of receipt of application and deposit cheque, with consideration for balancing
breakout groups. Applicants will receive a response in mid-June.
A $100 personal deposit cheque (one per applicant) payable to Council of Ontario Directors of Education
(CODE) is required to secure a space. The cheque will be cashed only if you cancel after July 1, 2012 or do not
attend. Uncashed cheques will be returned on the final day of each camp. Participants are expected to attend
sessions during mornings, afternoons and evenings of the CAMPPP week and must commit to attending all
days of the camp.
