VizZle users can now access photos, drawings and other images directly from Google Images™ through a built-‐in search function within the software. This allows users to create or edit lessons with custom images with one simple click and save the desired image directly into their lesson. “Customizing activities with appealing visuals is extremely motivating for students, especially those on the autism spectrum. The new Google search function makes it that much easier to incorporate images into each lesson,” said Lauren Stafford, Vice President of Research & Instructional Design at Monarch Teaching Technologies. Additionally, the new release unveils “Topic Board,” a new template that acts as a diverse tool for communication, social skills, building language during academics and more. “I love this tool as a resource because it allows teachers to create open-‐ended communication experiences for commenting and communication, demonstrate meaning behind the words in a sentence, or set up quizzes linked to sentence building and academics,” said Stafford. “It’s a great tool for opening doors to our students who are visual learners.” continued Vizzle 4.6, page 2 Also included in VizZle 4.6 are new fonts like Primary Penmanship, which more closely matches that of actual student handwriting and allows for better identification and tracing of printed materials.
