WORRY – THE SILENT KILLER!
It may surprise many people that a thing like worry can be a killer. It has been
proved by all medical researches that worry is a major cause of heart ailments, raised
blood pressure, rheumatism, ulcers, skin–problems, asthma and many other diseases.
Worry is a slow poison. Now the trend to “cure the mind before curing the body” is
gaining momentum all over the world. Hence the modern maxim: “a healthy body
depends upon a healthy mind”.
There are several causes of worry. The fast paced and complicated life style
contributes largely to our anxieties. Shortages, fears, competitions, dissatisfaction,
disillusionments, fears, failures - everything adds to the burden on our minds. Some
of these factors may be uncontrollable, but others are within our control.
Right from the time a child is three years old and is pushed into a nursery, a rat–
race begins which lasts throughout one’s life. Expectations of parents and
competition with peer groups to achieve better results chase the child. This leads to
headaches which abound in children. Irritability, tension, fear of failure, ridicule, self
hatred are some of the hitherto experienced emotions that besiege the younger children
of today. There is a steady erosion of the carefree, untiring and happy state of childhood.
If this trend continues, the day is not far when more children will suffer from ailments
like high blood pressure, depression and stomach ulcers.
Two major causes of worry that can be easily controlled by of most us are tomorrow
and yesterday. So much involvement had gone into worrying about
yesterday and tomorrow that the feeling of today has almost vanished. The fear of
tomorrow looms large over people. They fret about their savings, securities and their
future, forgetting the importance of today. Of what use is tomorrow if we do not live to
see it? Only a relaxed and cool mind functions normally and to its capacity.
(rheumatism - any disease marked by inflammation, ulcers - an open sore,
disillusionment - confused, fret - anxious.)

LAUGHTER IS THE BEST MEDICINE
In an age where man does not find time to think about himself, laughter can be
considered as a good agent of relaxation. In today’s mechanized and busy life, people
don’t get enough time to socialize. As a result there is no relaxation. Laughter serves
as stress-buster as it releases positive energy. It fills the person with enthusiasm and
zeal and he is ready to face the world again.
Nowadays, we can see many laughter clubs coming up in big cities. These clubs
function mainly because of the drudgery of human life in today’s world. People take
anti-anxiety drugs for relaxation. These drugs have far-reaching effects which are
damaging for the kidneys and other organs of the body.
Instead of taking these medicines if people interact with their family members
and friends and have a hearty laugh then they would be more relaxed. They will get

new energy for their work and it will enhance their performance. Laughter is certainly
the best medicine which has only favourable effects. When a person cracks a joke, we
laugh. When we laugh, the blood circulation within our body improves and as a result
our face glows with radiance.
So, next time, you feel low, have a hearty laugh and feel the difference. You’ll feel
refreshed and replenished with new vigour and enthusiasm.
(monotonous - boring, drudgery - dull work, enhance - increase, radiance - brightness,
replenished - bring back.)

SPEECH IS THE GIFT OF ALL, BUT THOUGHT OF FEW.
(March 2009)
Barring people who are dumb, human beings have been blessed with the gift of
speech. Without freedom of speech one feels curbed, confined and constricted. No
man can grow to his fullest stature without freedom of speech and expression. But
while almost every body talks, few people take the trouble of thinking. Talking comes
naturally to a human being, but thinking requires mental exertion.
Everybody is gifted with reason, but few person make use of this faculty. Man is a
rational animal, but all men do not benefit by the rational faculty. Thinking is, indeed,
foreign to most people. The result is that words are spoken, decisions are taken, and
actions are performed by people without any previous thinking. The want of thinking
in most such cases leads to unpleasant, and even disastrous, consequences. If an
individual says or does something thoughtlessly, he may have to pay heavily for it. If a
politician makes speech without giving due thought to what he says, he may cause a
tumult, an agitation and even a riot. Some people have the gift of the gab but little
capacity for thinking. They often blurt out words, without realizing the implications of
what they are saying. They are reckless in speech.
So thinking is an essential part of a wise man’s mental equipment. Indeed, a wise
man speaks less and thinks more. And whatever he speaks is the result of his thinking.
But wise men are in small minority in this world. The world is inhabited largely by
talkative people who consider thinking to be an avoidable hardship.
(exertion - effort, tumult - agitation, chaos, implications - signs. )

A STITCH IN TIME SAVES NINE.
This well known proverb ‘A Stitch in Time Saves Nine’ literally refers to the mending
of clothes before they become irreparable. What is true of clothes is true for anything
that needs mending. The advantage of a stitch in time does not limit itself to fabrics
alone. Figuratively, it refers to health, medicine, morals, education and politics. We
have often heard a doctor telling his patient that an earlier consultation would have
avoided the present painful suffering. a popular story of the son who had turned into a
thief and finally went to the prison. He wished his mother had used the ‘timely stitch’.
On a larger perspective, the French Revolution could have been avoided had the French
bureaucrats been intelligent enough to appease the people in time. In our personal
lives, too, the timely stitches are of immense value. Before our wayward tendencies
can turn into confirmed habits, let us apply the stitch in time.
Our ancestors must have realized the importance of ‘timely stitches’ and stored their
wisdom in this proverb for us to benefit by it. They have done their duty. Let us do ours.

THE FRUITS OF LABOUR ARE SWEETER THAN THE GIFTS OF FORTUNE.
The meaning of this well known proverb is ‘a sense of achievement’. Self-satisfaction
in life and the feeling of achievement are of utmost significance of life. Hard work will
lead to success, which will bring in a lot of materialistic pleasures but all these will
give only a temporary satisfaction. The ultimate pleasure is the satisfaction of body,
mind and the soul which can be achieved only through hard work.
Material achievement is temporary and can give rise to insecurity. However, the
fruits of labour are permanent. A student who has worked very hard the entire year will
find immense happiness in his excellent results, but a student who has not really
worked hard but through sheer fluke is blessed with an excellent result will not know
how to derive pleasure from it. As is said ‘Failures are stepping stones to success’, we
must learn from failures consistently. Saurav Ganguly was written off by everyone but
he kept his cool and regained his form. Abhishekh Bachhan gave several flops at the
beginning of his career but he didn’t give up. Today, he is one of the most successful
actors. Our own parents and grandparents move ahead so positively in life despite
their ill-health at times. Isn’t that inspiring enough?
Remember, we control our destiny. Let us emerge stronger and control our lives
instead of letting our lives control us. Let’s be people of substance.

A BIRD IN HAND IS WORTH TWO IN THE BUSH.
‘A Bird in hand is worth two in the bush’ is an important proverb. The wisdom
contained in this simple proverb is profound and its application, vast. The literal
meaning of this proverb is that if one has a bird in his hand, it is better than desiring
two in the bush. The one bird in the hand is reality which should be accepted instead
of craving for something unrealistic, an illusion. The practical aspect of life is very
important. We must acknowledge and appreciate what we have instead of lamenting
about what we don’t have.
We look at our friend’s financial status and experience envy, instead we must be
content with what we have as there are many who don’t have that much too Going by
an auto makes my friend Rita feel embarrassed as her friends travel in their cars. Rita
doesn’t thank god for her comfort as several students travel by crowded buses while
some go on foot. It is necessary to be ambitious but not by ruining one’s own mental
peace or by spoiling someone else’s name. Believe in the present as life is ‘Now’. The
future is unreliable.
Let us clearly distinguish between illusion and reality in our lives to experience
mental peace and contentment. Whenever we feel low and depressed, we must boost
ourselves, by counting our blessings. This deep understanding of the proverb will help
us live our lives better.

AS YOU SOW SO SHALL YOU REAP.
This well-known proverb ‘As you sow so shall you reap’ might have been derived
on seeing a farmer. A farmer sows the seeds expecting to reap a good harvest. If he
ploughs his field well, waters the crop, uses fertilizers and takes pains to see to every
aspect of its growth, naturally he would profit from a bountiful harvest. On the other
hand, if a farmer does not take care of the crop from the time he has sown the seeds, the

final product will not satisfy him.
The inherent meaning is that the consequences depend on the action. Our present
makes our future. If you toil and strive and mould your present well enough, you are
bound to reap its fruits. Gandhiji had rightly said, ‘Power comes from sincere service’.
Mother Teresa, on account of her care and compassion for the poor and destitute, gained
love and adulation from the masses. A child who is well matured and motivated to
study well will surely shine in his academic field and grow up into a good Samaritan.
All men desire the blessings of perfect bliss. We can either make or mar our own
destiny. Each of us can be an architect of our own future and fortune. If he sows the
seeds of sin and corruption, he will reap the harvest of ruin. Hence our duty is clear,
we must be virtuous to achieve happiness, for as we sow so shall we reap.
8.
KNOWLEDGE IS POWER.
The literal meaning of ‘Knowledge is Power’ is that power can be obtained or
experienced through knowledge. If one has enough knowledge about something or
anything, it helps you become powerful. One can command the others as the less
knowledgeable have to depend on you for help.
A highly qualified person is self-sufficient in his profession and can manage a
high profile job efficiently. Similarly , a housewife who is trained in all aspects of running
the house will not need anyone’s advice, for she can manage things smoothly. People
who are fond of reading gain immense knowledge about various things. They are silent
listeners too. This habit helps them tremendously to gain vast knowledge which works
in their favour. A good leader must have knowledge to be able to control his followers.
The followers will look up to him as they lack the knowledge he possesses A well read,
clever student will be respected by his classmates as well as his teachers.
Just like kings and emperors were powerful due to the vastness of the armies,
their weaponry and the strength of the armies, ordinary humans can also become
powerful through hard work, dedication, determination and an ambition to be powerful
in the field they have skill and talent. Truly as Bacon says, “Knowledge is Power”.

LAUGHTER IS THE BEST MEDICINE.
This maxim ‘Laughter is the Best Medicine’ means that laughter serves as a medicine.
When we are ill, we take medicine to cure our ailment, in the same way, if we laugh
whole heartedly, we will stay happy and healthy. Laughter drives away depression and
lowers the stress levels in a person. Our entire system benefits from a good laugh.
Laughter clubs are a big success in our city. People gather in the morning at the
neighbouring parks to laugh. Forced laughter leads to natural laughter. It is very
relaxing. Adults laugh only a few times in a day compared to children. Science has
proved that laughter therapy is a must for all. A person who laughs is very positive
minded and vice-versa. It makes them feel comfortable and they can overcome a difficult
situation. A negative minded person will always move with a heavy heart.
Laughter shows and comic plays or movies help us to forget our problems. It is
very important to live in the present and have faith in God. One must believe strongly
that everything happens for the best. It is very necessary to retain a child in us-always.
Let’s laugh and drive away blues!

CUT YOUR COAT ACCORDING TO THE CLOTH / SIZE.
(Sept. 2011)
This is an important maxim giving us necessary wisdom to live our lives. The literal
meaning of the proverb is that we must cut our coat, or anything we want to stitch, according
to the length of the cloth we have. Similarly, we must incur expenditure in such a way that
it does not exceed our income. In short, it is important to live within our means.
There are many people who want to live a luxurious life even if that means living
beyond one’s means. People indulge in borrowing loans even if it means to be immersed
in debts for a major part of their lives. Such people don’t bother that if anything goes
wrong with them, what would befall their family? Children should be taught the value of
money and the significance of saving it, else they would grow up learning the wrong
values. Gandhiji’s statement in “My Experiments with My Truth” is very apt : “Buy only
when you need it”. We should give a thought to this. Even the government of a country
has to keep in mind the total resources while spending. If the government keeps borrowing
recklessly from other foreign countries, it may also become bankrupt one day.
This proverb can be applied universally. It teaches us how to be frugal rather than
a spendthrift. If we learn wisdom from it, we might be able to live respectable lives and
never have to face embarrassment and ruin ever again.

WHERE THERE IS A WILL, THERE IS A WAY.
(March 2008)
A pupil may think that to secure a first class at an examination is beyond his
reach; an engineer may feel that the harnessing of the tidal sea-wave to run the
machine is impracticable; a medical researcher may be of the opinion that a particular
disease is incurable. But if each one of these makes a firm resolve to achieve his goal
and applies himself to it wholeheartedly, it is almost certain that success will crown
his resolute efforts. History often bears out the truth of this assertion. There was a time
when flying in the air orbitting the earth, travelling in space and sending speech over
the air were all regarded as flights of fancy. But today we see that these seemingly
impossible things have become possible. The aeroplane the spaceship, the radio, the
television are now realities.
How have these impossibilities been achieved? The answer is clear and simple.
By man's supreme will power, determination and dedication. The great doer is never a
pessimist or a defeatist. He is a staunch optimist confident of ultimate success. Nothing
can stop him, daunt him and can deflect him from his avowed purpose. He knows fully
well that where there is a will, there is a way. He has the will to win, so he finds out
ways and marches through to ultimate victory. A man of will explores the earth's
impassable deserts and impenetrable forests, scales Mount Everest, sails to the North
Pole and the South Pole; plumbs the depths of oceans, conquers space; and one by one
conquers the forces of nature and dreadful diseases. Nothing is impossible for him; his
inventive genius is the crown of creation.
Let us cultivate a strong will, a keen desire and the determination to achieve our
ideals, for where there is a will, there is a way. If there's no way we will make one.
Victory is bound to be ours.

the circumstances be, if one continues to work diligently without losing faith and
hope, then his duties take the form of worship.
If we keep busy working with full diligence and sincerity, we experience a sense

is as good as worship. At the end of the day if the time has been utilized productively,
we have a sense of satisfaction which keeps us physically and mentally healthy. Think
how life would be had there been no work. Work therefore gives us a definite goal and
draws us nearer to God.

I LOVE INDIA
(Sept. 2008)
I take pride in being a citizen of India and in being called an Indian. India is a
country which can boast of a glorious and a rich past. Its contribution to the world in
different fields of arts and architecture, maths and science is laudable. The yoga philosophy
which is a way of life has helped people not only in physical health but also spiritually.
There are diverse religions, diverse languages and diverse customs. Yet amidst
all this we have unity. To whatever religion we may belong, at the end of the day we are
Indians. India is a secular country. It has welcomed all the religions to coexist and
thus this makes it the largest democratic nation in the world. I am proud to be an
Indian. I love India.

THE EARTH HAS ENOUGH FOR EVERYONE’S NEED;
BUT NOT ENOUGH FOR EVERYONE’S GREED
(Sept. 2008)
Mother Earth is rich in all resources and human beings have from times
immemorial tapped those for their benefit. For example, agricultural land gives us
food and commercial crops, water helps generate electricity, oil reserves help in means
of transportation as also in giving us by products like gas and kerosene.
But we need to use these resources judiciously and avoid waste, for there is
enough for everyone’s need but not just enough for everyone’s greed. We thus need to
understand how to reduce waste, re-use and recycle waste.

A LITTLE LEARNING IS A DANGEROUS THING
(March 2008)
The above line is an opening line of one of the important speeches by the Pope.
Many times we come across people who don’t have in depth knowledge of whatever
they have learnt. People try to gain just general knowledge about particular subjects
by doing short term courses. But remember shortcuts are never a sure way to success.
If are take up something we must attain in-depth knowledge of that aspect.
There are examples of quack doctors who get their education completed by unfair
means but in the process stake the lives of so many people. Students take up short
term courses which ensure jobs. But in the long run they realize that their jobs are not
as lucrative as the ones held by people who complete their degrees.
The value of learning has been greatly diminished in our society and this is very
sad. People have no thirst for knowledge. If the trend does not stop, it will lead to a
great downfall of the human race. Probably the recent ‘recession’ is the result of little
knowledge of the vagaries of the market !

WE ARE A PART OF ENVIRONMENT, NOT APART FROM ENVIRONMENT
(March 2008)
Whenever we read or hear about the problem of the environment we tend to feel
that it is not our problem. We think that somebody else has created it and they will
solve it. But I think we must realize that we must realize that we are a part of the
environment and not a separate existence.
The environment and human beings have a symbiotic relationship. Human beings
affect the environment and the environment affects the life of human beings. Our
existence directly depends on various aspects of our environment. The climate,
vegetation, the very air that we breath are all affected by the changes in the environment.
The best example is the 26th July cloudburst, the tsunami tragedy, the Bhopal Gas
Tragedy and many more such incidents. It becomes very clear that we are totally
dependent on the environment.
Thus it is the duty of every human being to ensure a healthy environment. We all
have to be alert about our duty in protecting the environment from pollution and
other similar hazards.
If we take care of the environment, the environment will take care of our safety.

hygiene, our behavior with people around us, people don’t remember a person for their
clothes or ornaments worn but we do remember people for their manners and ultimately
it turns out to be the most decorative and beautiful Ornament one has. Manners can
turn people on or off. It applies to people of all genders and ages.
Our manners reflect our upbringing, our surrounding and given an insight as to
the people we are. Manners need to be inculcated right from the childhood for it becomes
a part of us. This is one ornament that can never be stolen or that will diminish with time.

FAILURES ARE THE STEPPING STONES TO SUCCESS
(Sept. 2009)
This title is just perfect and it applies to each and every person. We all want to be
successful but it is not always that we succeed, then what ? Does it mean that it is the
end of the world ? No, definitely not. In fact one cannot always be successful in
everything we do. During such times it is the belief in ourselves that makes us try to
do the same thing repeatedly inspite of failures in this constant striving translates
into success one day.
What we have learnt is that never feel if we have failed once. We are not good
enough or we are at fault. Infact we should take failures in our stride and walk towards
once coming them. The success that we achieve towards the end is the most beautiful
fruit. Once should never be disheartened by failures. It is the equation of failures and
success that makes our life so fascinating and wonderful. The only thing we should
learn is “NEVER GIVE UP” and always consider that
“FAILURES ARE THE STEPPING STONES TO SUCCESS.”

BOOKS, LIKE FRIENDS, SHOULD BE FEW AND WELL CHOSEN (Sept. 2009)
It is always said “We are known by the company we keep.” Similarly we are identified
by the books we read. Books like friends have a very strong influence on our character.
If we choose intellectual books it enhances our capacity without being
judgmental. Some how what we read does give impact on our brains and we do react
accordingly. If we read thrash or violent stuff we some how end up being violent
ourselves because we start believing that, that is the truth.
Hence, it is always advised in almost all the religious scriptures that reading
good books with good values have a positive impact on the person and that is reflected
by our behavior which is what makes the world a better place to live.

Trees are man’s lifeline. Without trees, man can easily perish. Without trees,
man’s abode, this planet earth, will also perish. We need to save trees before the earth
melts down due to global warming.
Unless every man understands the importance of trees, no action can save trees.
This awareness should be inculcated in the children in the course of their school and
collage education. Governments and people should actively renew, receive and
propagate projects and movements like ‘Van – Mahotsav’ and ‘chipko – movement’, in
every village, town and city.

THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME
(Sept. 2010)
“House is made of bricks and stone, But a HOME is made of LOVE alone.”
‘Home is a four letter word which is dear to everyone. Only those who have been
away from their home for long, realise the value of ‘Home’.
A home need not be a palace or a bungalow. It can just be a shock or just a room.
It is a place where there is warmth and acceptance. It is a place where one is loved,
where one has security and where one feels wanted. It is a place which thrives only on
LOVE because those who live in that home have learnt the art of caring and sharing,
giving and receiving.
Good homes form the backbone of a good society. Good homes nurture good and
responsible citizens. Hence it is aptly said, East or West, Home is the best.

DREAMERS CREATE A WORLD OF THEIR OWN
(Sept. 2010)
Dreams are an integral part of man’s life. Whether he is awake or sleep, man loves
dreaming. Dreams take us to a different world ..... a world of our own ..... a world,
where no one else can have any access ........ an imaginary world, where, often, every
impossible thing becomes possible.
Stop dreaming and we come back to the same old world of limitations and
deadlines. Nothing works the way we want and we face many set – backs and
disappointments, frustration and failure. All inventions and discoveries are a result
of man’s dreaming. Great novels and stories and the scripts for films and plays originate
from a mind which imagined and dreamt. Great plans and operations were once a
minuscule dreamin the mind of man.
A dreamer is a happy man. Asleep or awake, he is in his own world, creating his
own thoughts, his own thrills. Whether one agrees or not, don’t we all love to go to
sleep ......and to dream ......... and don’t we all hat to wake up after that ? Yes ! A dream
world is our own world of happiness. M

SERVICE TO MAN IS SERVICE TO GOD
(Sept. 2011)
Man holds his religion in utmost regard. But every religion believes that 'man' is
the noblest and the best of God's creation. Thus if we truly wish to serve God , then the
best way would be to serve humanity. Charles Elliot Norton , an American educator
and humanitarian, said , "They may serve God well who serve His creatures.
"Service to Mankind is service to God" is the proverb highly prevalent all over the
world. Loving and serving humans is considered of the utmost importance. Man attains
closeness to God by serving his fellow beings. Life is the most precious gift given to
man .This gift must be used to the fullest by using it in service of others. It is the
man's deeds that will be remembered forever rather than the number of years .Today

of humanity as compared to those who may have been very rich but never made any
difference to anybody. God dwells in every being thus the best way to please and
serve God would be to serve those who are in need. All of us cannot be a Gandhi or
Mother Teresa, but surely we can help at least those around us. Even if we do our duty
towards our parents and the society , we are still serving God in a way.
Life has bestowed us with many gifts and now it is our turn to pay back. Well, the
best way to do so is to be of service to your fellowmen.

ALL THAT GLITTER IS NOT GOLD
(Sept. 2011)
Appearances are often deceptive. Many things may superficially appear very
attractive. When they are examined from close quarters, they prove to be disappointing.
One cannot judge the quality of a thing by seeing its exterior portion only. Thus it is
rightly said "All that glitters is not gold"
Physical appearance has always been of great importance for human beings. For
centuries, poets have written about beauty, musicians have sung about it and painters
have portrayed beautiful features on canvas. However, people worry so much about
physical appearance nowadays that sometimes it stops being our ally to become our
greatest enemy. Many things may superficially appear very attractive. When they are
examined from close quarters, they prove to be disappointing. One cannot judge the
quality of a thing by seeing its exterior portion only. We should try to find out the
reality hidden behind their glittering facade. A book with a beautiful cover has no
guarantee of its being interesting.
A beautiful packaged product launched in the market after massive advertising
campaign may attract the consumer. He may but that product once but if the product
is of poor quality, he would not buy it again. A wise discerning person does not accept
things at face value. He gets suspicious of a person or thing which appears too good to
be true. His trained eyes can see beyond the superficial appearance of an object.
Thus this proverb actually is a warning to enable us to see the real picture and
not to be deceived by the exterior.

JUSTICE DELAYED IS JUSTICE DENIED
(March 2011)
At his best, man is the noblest of all animals separated from law and justice he is
worst said Aristotle but when justice is delayed it is even worse.
Justice is a legal maxim meaning that if legal redress is available for a party that
has suffered some injury, but is not forth coming in a timely fashion, it is effectively
the same as having no redress at all.
The legal system and the procedure to deliver justice is one way a government
can built trust among the citizens of that country but when justice is not prompt it is
worse than not giving justice at all as then law can be used as a shield to defend the
wrong doer and boost the moral of all those who violate the law and injure the innocent
not just physically but also mentally.
It will bring anarchy and chaos in the society and life and property will no more
remain safe.
Thus if justice is given in a timely manner than it acts like a strong foundation
for a prosperous society for flourish and burgeon rapidly.

FINE FEATHERS MAKE FINE BIRDS
(March 2011)
Without feathers a peacock as well as hen would look almost the same but just as
bright plumage gives a bird splendor eg. Peacock so does smart clothing make a person
look more impressive than he really is.
In simple words other people do judge us by our appearance, so as we are much
more likely to make a success of our lives if we dress well than we are shabby and
down at - heel.
It is true that character and virtues of a person are of great value in the long run
but they say that your first impression is your last impression and so if a person at first
glance likes your appearance he is likely to explore other facets of your personality
and a shabby appearance may repulse a person to the extent that he may not want to
approach you.
Thus the proverb truly helps us in our life.

tag. What price are we paying for all the comfort we are enjoying? Our environment
and it is a big price.
Every coin has two sides. Machines have reduced work but also put us in great
peril, the only habitat that shelters all creatures i.e. our planet earth is immensely
harmed .Pollution is slowly degrading our environment every minute. Environmental
pollution is one of the biggest problems the world faces today. It is an issue that troubles
us economically, physically and everyday of our lives. The contamination of the
environment is also being linked to some of the diseases that are around currently.
Yet, most people pretend that there is no problem because they are dependent and
some times addicted to machines. We must do some thing as soon as possible to curb
this problem, not only for the good of the environment but also for the people that live
in it. Many factors are present for why environmental pollution has become such a
large issue in the world. However, if the people of the world were to address the issue
it would definitely help both the environment and its people. There are many activities
that can be done by both the common people and governments of the world, which
could improve the environmental problem. On the other hand, if the current way the
world's environmental problem is being handled continues, catastrophic
consequences can follow for the future population.
Thus machine age brought solutions to many problems but has also done harm to
our environment in the form of pollution thus putting a question mark on the very
existence of human species.
