Stanley Electric’ s LED Projector to Bring Color to the Worldwide Tourist Attraction- Niagara Falls Niagara Falls Illuminated 1 Powered by the optical technology for automotive headlights, the super narrow LED module has been adopted to illuminate the worldwide landmark. The ultra-narrow beam LED modules from Stanley Electric Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “our company”) will be located on the border of the United States (State of New York), and Canada (Province of Ontario) to illuminate the famous attraction. 2 New Fixture Ultra-Narrow Beam LED Module ■ Background The Niagara Parks Commission has been using the xenon short arc bulb to illuminate the Niagara Falls since 1997. Power consumption was also a vital part in the renewal of the lighting of the Niagara Falls. The current xenon short arc bulbs used about 4kW, totaling to about 126kW※2. By switching to LED, the power consumption was reduced to 54kW※3, effectively reducing the number by about 43%. The diversity in color will be another benefit that these modules will bring to Niagara Falls. The current fixtures are only able to use 4 color filters to mix, but the new LED projector will be able to express over 16.77 million colors by mixing and dimming of 4 colors. According to the Niagara Parks Commission estimated calculation, the installments will be operative for about 20 years. Luminescent Color 8 Old Fixture 9 ■ Moving Forward New Fixture The ultra-narrow beam LED modules that are being used for the Niagara Falls is scheduled to be available for sale during April 2017.
