International Federation of Popular Sports. Visit: www.AVA.org for more info.
Dates: 17-18-19-20 February 2017
What:A volkswalk is a non-competitive walk, usually 10K (6.2
miles). These events offer a choice of distances. Choose between 5K
(3.1 miles) or 10K (6.2 miles). Volkswalks are a FUN activity to be
done with a club, friends, family, or by yourself. Participants must
register, sign a standard waiver, and carry a start card, which must be
returned whether or not walk is completed. Pre-registration is not
required, but obviously appreciated. Events will take place regardless;
(rain or shine). All walks are open to everyone; club membership is not
a requirement. Consider joining a club if you have fun. Just ask!
Children under 12 should walk with an adult.
SPONSORS: Emerald Coast Volkssport Club (ECVC) and Pensacola
Volkssport Club (PVC). The Emerald Coast and Pensacola Volkssport
Clubs are active walk clubs sponsoring walking events in the Florida
panhandle.
We are affiliated with the American Volkssport
Association (AVA).
More information can be obtained @
www.AVA.org with walk info for well over 1,800 walks in the U.S.
annually, along with directions to get to the events, and POCs to obtain
more information. Walking is an extremely healthy exercise and a
means to get out and see different areas in each state that you might
ordinarily drive right by. We have active Year Round Events (YREs)
in the panhandle that can be walked any day of the year that a
registration point is open. Ask us about our clubs and our walks. Get
involved in your health!
WALKS
6 walks on or near the sugar white sands
around the Panama City Beach area, one
Friday, two Saturday, two Sunday and one
Monday PLUS nearby YREs.
