ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW
The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (the “Show”) was organized for charitable, educational and
scientific purposes to encourage and promote the breeding, raising and marketing of better livestock and
farm products at public fairs and to promote and maintain research and educational functions within the
livestock industry.
As the world’s largest livestock show and rodeo, the largest fair in North America and the site of 20
concerts from top-flight entertainers each year, the Show attracted over 2.48 million spectators in 2014. A
Section 501(c)(3) charity, this organization has committed approximately $350 million in youth and
educational support to Texas students since it began in 1932. The Show is backed by more than 31,000
volunteers serving on 105 different committees.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR REQUEST FOR QUOTE
PRICING
Pricing for all goods/services must be very specific, all inclusive and firm. All administrative fees,
shipping, expedited delivery costs, labor, etc. must be included in the quote. All transportation, freight,
drayage and other charges are to be listed as a separate line item.
Based on your line item bid price for shipping on the Price Sheet, the Show may require that product
shipments are to be done via Federal Express or UPS, using the Show’s existing account.
Moreover, all design work, product set-up, production, repair work, etc. must be done according to the
Show’s schedule, which may include weekends, nights and early mornings, at no additional cost to the
Show. The Show will pay only for goods/services stated on the Price Sheet unless otherwise agreed to in
writing by both parties before the order is placed or work is started. No price changes, additions, or
subsequent qualifications will be honored.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The vendor acknowledges that the names, logos, copyrighted material and trademarks of the Show are the
sole and exclusive property of the Show (the “Show Marks”) and nothing herein shall provide the vendor
any right, title or interest in the Show Marks. All Show Marks included in this Request For Quote are for
bidding purposes ONLY. They may not be used for any other purpose, now or in the future, without the
express written consent of the Show’s Marketing and Public Relations Department.
VENDOR ADVERTISING, MARKETING AND PROMOTION
The vendor may not promote itself in conjunction with the Show, use the Show as a client reference or
display Show goods in any advertising, marketing or promotional materials.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS / INSTRUCTIONS
The following requirements and instructions supersede GENERAL REQUIREMENTS where applicable.
SCOPE
The Show will receive quotes from vendors for t-shirts and caps for the 2015 Rodeo Merchandise
Program.
If agreed to by both parties, the original agreement, as amended from time to time, at the same terms,
conditions, and pricing can be renewed. Each renewal would be a one (1) year increment, not to exceed
three (3) years.
PRODUCTS
1. Product samples are not required for this bid but samples may be requested for items that are
chosen. You can provide a photo for this bid on the price sheet.
2. There is no limit on the number of design ideas that can be submitted for each item.
3. The design MUST include one of the Show logos.
4. Sizes MUST be available in S-3X for all designs.
5. All tees should come in with hang tags (provided by the Show)
Category A – BBQ Tee
 T-shirt design with a BBQ themed design
o Back of t-shirt will have a full back design (provided by the Show) that lists all of the
BBQ teams
 Estimated quantity – 1,200
 Estimated retail price – $20
Category B – Adult Unisex Tees
 Up to 12 different designs
 Estimated quantity – 576 to1,200 of each design
 Estimated retail prices – $20 - $35
Category C – Ladies’ Tees
 Up to 4 different designs, including at least two that are embellished with rhinestones or other
additional decoration
 Estimated quantity – 576 to 1,200 of each design
 Estimated retail price - $20 - $35
Category D – Adult & Youth Cap/Tee Combos
 Cap and t-shirt, combined together with a wide rubber band, with size stickers on the cap bill
 Up to 2 Adult designs and 2 Youth designs
 Estimated quantity – 576 to 1,800 per design
 Estimated retail price – $20 to $25
Category E – Caps
 Designs that are highly marketable to 12-35 year olds and women
 Estimated quantity – 576 to 1,200
 Estimated retail price – $10 to $45
Category F – Livestock Exhibitor Tees
 Designs provided by the Show (see Exhibit A)
 Color of tee similar to Gildan’s Heather Indigo or Heather Navy
 Estimated quantity – 18,000
 Estimated retail price – $5

 Designs provided by the Show (see Exhibit A)
 Cap color to coordinate with Livestock Exhibitor Tee color, in a style that appeals to ages 12-24
 Estimated quantity – 18,000, some will have the name of the contest added to the side of the cap:
o 1,500 “Ag Mech”
o 4,200 “Judging Contest”
o 850 “Calf Scramble”
o 300 “Llama/Alpaca”
o 400 “Rabbit”
o Remainder blank (no added embroidery besides the main logo in Exhibit A)
 Estimated retail price – $5
 For as many as 4,000 units, we may want them bundled as a cap/tee combo; please add pricing
for this additional service
