Students will learn about author Eloise Greenfield
Students will be introduced to quick writes and will
write about a memory that they have.
Students will spend 10-15 minutes writing independently.
They may continue with their quick write, write a story,
or start a new piece of writing
Share and Reflect
Students will learn the procedure and practice “Think,
Pair, Share”
Students will listen to part of the story Things Will
Never Be The Same
During the reading, students will use the “Think, Pair,
Share” strategy to answer questions
Students will generate writing ideas using the “Writing
Ideas” anchor chart
Students will write independently for 10-15 minutes.
Students will begin conferring with me this week about
their writing strengths and weaknesses.
Share and Reflect
Students will gather and we will review “Think, Pair,
Share”
Students will be introduced to a prewriting technique
o Students will review their latest piece of writing
and underline one or two sentences that the
liked the most.
Students will explore a prewriting technique using one
of the sentences that they just underlined in their
writing notebooks
