Students will review how to produce an effective informational essay that meets
or exceeds the standards for ideas, organization, style, and conventions.
Students will focus on what elements make a lead engaging, how to elaborate on
the events within the narrative, and how to write a powerhouse ending.
Tremendous emphasis will be placed on editing and revising to ensure that the
informational essays are publishable. Writing will be integrated into all content
areas to continue to learn the writing process and build writing fluency among the
students.
