A quadrilateral is a polygon with
4 sides and 4 angles.
A parallelogram is a quadrilateral
where the opposite sides are parallel
and equal. Just as a square is also a
rectangle, a rectangle is also a
parallelogram.
A pentagon has 5 sides. When
the 5 sides are the same length
and the angles are the same size,
it is called a regular pentagon.
A hexagon has 6 sides. When the
6 sides are the same length and the
angles are the same size, it is called
a regular hexagon.
An octagon has 8 sides. When
the 8 sides are the same length
and the angles are the same size,
it is called a regular octagon.
