Happy Friday!
Mrs. Beagle’s 4th Grade News!
What’s happening?
Dear Parents/Guardians,
We have had a great week of school. Please remind students that
homework needs to be turned in by 8:30 every morning. Students have
time in class to work on assignments. If they do not get them done, they
need to take them home to finish. We have a few that are forgetting to
take things home. Agendas need to be signed every night. Now that everyone mostly has an agenda we will be using those. Thanks.
They need headphones to use with their IPads in my class. They
sell these in the bookstore for a dollar. Please make sure your child has
working headphones. Thanks.
This year they will be taking Spelling and Reading tests on their
iPads. A lot of homework and grades will be done on the IPad. i.e. Spelling
and Reading mostly and some Math. You will not see a lot of papers coming home. If they do, it will be mostly be on Fridays. This is why I had them
create a take home folder. I will write IPad test scores in the agendas on
Sept. 5 Labor
days we have tests. We will have a Spelling and Reading test almost eveDay– NO
ry Friday. Other subjects I will give you a heads up. You will also see

Here’s what we have been working on this week!

Reading/Language Arts
This week we worked on sequencing, summarizing, expository text, and antonyms.
Next week we are reading for Unit 1-3. Please make sure your child is reading at least 15-20
minutes every night. They can read to someone, listen to reading, or read alone. This will
help out with their comprehension and fluency. They have access to a website with free
books called www.myon.com. Thanks!
English– we have been working on sentences!
Math
This week in Math we have been reviewing our math facts. We wrapped up chapter 1
this week on Place Value. We had our test today. Next week we will be moving on to
