RELEVANCE
„ Do all countries use the same currency?
„ No! Many times when you travel to another country you have
to exchange American dollars for the currency used in the
country you are visiting
„ What would it be like today if you had to use a different kind of
currency when you went to another state?
„ After the American revolution the states were like separate
little countries. All of the states used a different currency.
„ This was only one of the problems of national government
after the American Revolution.
„  We are going to see that the government that was in place at
this time was not efficient.
