Setting Up the LSBU Microsoft Exchange Email on an Apple iPhone
This booklet is for existing students or staff, who wish to set up their LSBU mailbox(mail.lsbu.ac.uk) with
their apple device.
How to configure the Network Preferences on an Apple iPhone

Please make sure your wifi is off for the non pay as you go user.
1. If this is the first e-mail account on your iPhone, tap Mail. Otherwise, tap Settings > Mail, Contacts,
Calendars > Add Account.
2. Tap Microsoft Exchange.

Tap in the Email box and enter your full e-mail address (for example, [email protected]).
Tap in the Domain (LSBU) box.
Tap in the Username box
Tap in the Password box and enter your password. (Case sensitive)
Tap in the Description and enter a short description for the account – such as lsbu.ac.uk
Tap Next on the upper right corner of the screen.
Exchange should now verify your account and will then prompt you for your sever settings which are:
mail.lsbu.ac.uk

11. Choose the type of information you want to synchronize. By default, Mail, Calendar, and Contacts are all
turned on. Choose YES to keep all contact info on iPhone.
12. Tap Save.
13. If you had a previous email account setup on your iPhone you can toggle between the two freely.
Note: Please be aware that the University does not support configuration of the LSBU email server to
mobile devices and is not responsible for any loss of data.
