TRAINING SESSIONS Monday evenings 7:00 to 9:00, September through June, at the Miami
County Fairgrounds, Duke Lundgard Youth Assembly building, North County Road 25A, Troy, Ohio
45371.
REGISTRATION: 6:30 FOR 7:00pm CLASSES; 7:45 FOR 8:00pm CLASSES
Puppy – Beginning Obedience - Previous Student Beginning Obedience - Advanced Skills - $65.00
Conformation Class - $6.00 per night with proof of vaccinations (This is a drop-in class at 8pm.)
Canine Good Citizen testing is given the last night of each session (see our web site for dates) - $10.00
OBEDIENCE TRAINING REGULATIONS
_______________Is the first night of class (see our web site for dates).
Orientation night is intended for people and dogs.
1. Bring proper immunizations (shots) records: DOGS OVER 6 MONTHS MUST HAVE HAD DHL,
RABIES AND PARVO VACCINES, PUPPIES MUST BE UP TO DATE PER THEIR AGE. To
attend our classes’ dogs must have proper immunizations. This is intended to help prevent the
spread of communicable diseases.
2. Bring a six-foot leash, leather is recommended. For your convenience we have available six-foot
leather leashes for $10.00 each. A properly fitted training collar is included in the price of the
session.
3. Only one person may handle the dog during training sessions.
4. Wear working clothes and flat rubber soled shoes, (tennis shoes)
5. DO NOT bring sick or "in heat" dogs to classes, but do attend yourself.
6. DO NOT feed your dog the evening of training classes. You are responsible for cleaning up any
accidents.
7. If you miss two (2) or more lessons, no completion certificate will be issued. You will have the
opportunity to learn the missed exercises.
8. You should be prepared to spend two (2) short training sessions (10-15 minutes) with your dog
daily between training sessions.
9. A young person between the ages ten to eighteen years must be accompanied by a parent or
guardian to participate in training classes. PARENT OR GUARDIAN MUST ATTEND EACH
SESSION!
REMINDER: ALL OUR CLASSES FILL UP QUICKLY AND ARE LIMITED IN SIZE TO 12
STUDENTS PER CLASS. DUE TO THIS DEMAND WE SUGGEST THAT YOUR APPLICATION AND
CLASS FEE BE SENT IN ADVANCE TO INSURE YOUR RESERVED SPOT.

and participate in training classes. I am aware of the fact that dogs, individually and collectively, pose a

involved in the above stated activities. In consideration of the permission granted to me to enter the
premises of the ECHO HILLS KENNEL CLUB OF OHIO, INC., I hereby knowingly and voluntarily
assume any and all risks of the injury to my person and my property that may be sustained on the
premises of the ECHO HILL KENNEL CLUB OF OHIO, INC. and my participation, or my property's
involvement, in the services to be rendered to me, in which injury may be due to any negligence or
omission of any of the above mentioned person or persons. I understand that this agreement places
upon me the sole responsibility for the safety of my person and/or my property while I and/or my
property is or are on the premises of the ECHO HILLS KENNEL CLUB OF OHIO, INC. in connections

WELCOME to the Echo Hills Kennel Club of Ohio, Inc. training session!
Our club's purpose is to further the advancement of all breeds of dogs. Whether your
participation in our classes is to work towards titles or simply to gain confidence and improve handling
response between you and your dog, we hope you enjoy Echo Hill's course.
GOALS We are a non-profit, service organization and are dedicated to the education of the dog owner and
non-dog owner alike. We encourage active participation by minors in our club. Our members are
actively striving toward humane treatment for all animals, including the necessary education and
action for helping to curb the pet population explosion.
ACTIVITIES Our best known activity is the offering of obedience training classes. We have qualified and
dedicated instructors for Puppy Dog, Beginning Obedience, Advanced Skills, Agility, Rally and
Conformation classes. Our members also work in many other areas of training their dogs, including
fieldwork, retrieving on land and in water, agility, tracking and others.
We are active in presenting exhibitions with our dogs for community organizations and public
functions. These are informative and aimed at stressing the responsibilities of dog ownership. As
one of the ways we sponsor responsible dog ownership we regularly offer the AKC Canine Good
Citizen tests. A very high percentage of our members actively participate in American Kennel Club
shows and activities.

AGILITY TRAINING SESSSIONS Tuesday evenings 7:00 to 9:00 pm, September through June, at the
Miami County Fairgrounds in the Echo Hills Kennel Club Building on North County Road 25A,Troy, Ohio
45373. The entrance gate for this building is on County Road 25A just south of the Miami
County Animal Shelter driveway. The building is the second barn inside the gate, on the left.
