Evaluating Expressions Scavenger Hunt
6.EE.3.2.c Perform arithmetic operations, including those involving whole-number exponents, in conventional
order when there are no parentheses to specify a particular order (order of operations).
Objectives:
1. Student can evaluate an expression using order of operations.

Task Description:


Teacher cuts the cards on the dotted lines and hangs up cards on the walls all over the room.
The cards have an answer at the top and an expression at the bottom.
Students will start with the expression, evaluate it, and then walk around the room to find the answer.
They will then solve the expression below it.
If students evaluate the expression incorrectly they will not be able to find that answer and will go
back to the expression to determine their mistake.
