Two open Ph.D positions under the guidance of Professor
Shlomo Havlin in ITN project "Learning about Interacting
Networks in Climate" (LINC)
Description:
The position is funded by the European Commission in the framework of the FP7 Marie-Curie
ITN “LINC”. The research will combine recent advances in complex network theory with
analysis of open climate problems.

Requirements:
The candidate should have a degree in physics, or applied mathematics allowing starting a
doctoral fellowship in physics. Profound knowledge of English (both written and spoken) is
required. At the time of recruitment the researcher must not have resided or carried out his/her
main activity (work, studies, etc…) in Israel for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately
prior to his/her recruitment under the project. He/she also should have less than 4 years of
research experience. This is measured from the date they obtained the degree which formally
entitles them to embark on a doctorate.
The LINC network aims at increasing the fraction of women in science and therefore female
candidates are particularly encouraged to apply.
