International Services on Account
The simplest way for businesses to send Letters and Parcels overseas is to use
International Standard or International Economy. We offer a range of International
Tracking and Signature services for more important items.
Delivery aims*:
Europe: 3 to 5 days
Rest of World: 5 to 7 days.
*These delivery aims are expressed in working days and exclude the day of posting.
Entry requirement: A franking machine or Royal Mail Business Account.
Save money compared to stamp prices. Easy to use.
International formats
Letters
Letters may be sent up to 100g and mirror domestic letter dimensions.
Small Parcels
For items larger than Letter format or that weigh up to 2kg.
Where parcels are being sent outside the EU, please ensure you
complete a CN22 or CN23 customs declaration. For more information visit

Printed Papers
Unpersonalised printed materials weighing up to 5kg can be sent via our
Printed Papers service.
Ensure you write ‘PRINTED PAPERS’ in the top left hand corner on the
front of the item.

Before you mail...
AIR MAIL stickers
International Standard items (except those posted in Northern Ireland for the
Irish Republic) need an AIR MAIL sticker, or write ‘BY AIR MAIL — PAR AVION’
in the top left corner on the front of the item.
Dimensions
Letters can measure up to 240mm in length and 165mm width.
Maximum thickness 5mm.
For Small Parcels and Printed Papers, the length plus the width plus the
height of the item must be no greater than 900mm, with no single dimension
greater than 600mm.
For items sent in rolls or tubes, the length plus two times the diameter must
be no greater than 1040mm, with the length no greater than 900mm.
