Cool off this Summer! Get Wet and Wild in the Wolf Creek Help our Rivers and Wildlife Join us on July 18, 2015 9:30 am - noon Get wet by walking in the Wolf Creek picking up trash and cleaning an important tributary of the Great Miami River. It will be wild because you never know what you may find – over the past few years, we’ve taken out more than a ton of trash, including bikes, grocery carts, and 34 tires! Join Aullwood Audubon Center and Farm in the Clean Sweep of the Great Miami River at the Wolf Creek. Meet in the parking lot of the Urban Prairie (former Dayton Tire and Rubber site), 2342 W. Riverview Avenue, Dayton 45402. Pre-registration required. Gloves, equipment, complimentary drinks and snacks provided. Free t-shirts (while supplies last). Bring sunscreen, wear a hat, wear closed-toe shoes. NO flip-flops, thongs or sandals. We do not recommend wearing Keens, Tevas, Chacos or similar sorts of water shoes. To register, call Nina Lapitan (937) 890-7360, ext. 214 or email at [email protected]. The Great Miami River Cleanup is an annual volunteer event focused on removing trash and restoring the health of the Great Miami River. The Great Miami River Cleanup is about much more than picking up trash. It’s a day for communities to demonstrate their desire for clean water and healthy rivers. It’s an opportunity to learn about our river and it’s a time to come together with your families, your neighbors, your community and your friends to accomplish something vital and worthy on behalf of our Great Miami River.
