DIVERSITY PICNIC! WEDNESDAY LUNCHTIME OUT ON THE GRASS BY ADMIN: Follow
the arrows, listen for the music. Check out the book display and the decorations! Come and
join the dance comps and lolly scrambles! Bring a blanket, bring your lunch to share – organise
a group of friends and come and have an awesome time! Previously described by 2016
students as as “The best day of the year!” and “More fun than my birthday!” Rainbow ribbon
badges available for Gold Coin donation to Rainbow Youth.

FORM CLASS PHOTO’S: Your Form Teacher now has a copy of your form class photo. If you wish to purchase this your Form
Teacher will give you an online shoot key slip, which allows you to order your copy online. If you or your parents do not have a
credit/debit card please collect an order envelope from the Main Office. Free delivery expires on Sunday 2nd April 2017.
CHEM 2.2 INTERNAL ASSESSMENT CATCH UPS: Thursday 16 March in A5 (3.30 -4-30pm).
ENGLISH HELP: Is on this Wednesday, 15th March, 12.30pm, in H8. This is a general help session for Year 9 and 10 English
students. Year 9 and 10 English/ English1 students who feel that they need some extra help with their English work are
encouraged to attend.
YEAR 12 SOCIAL STUDIES: If you need help with the 2.2 Malala inquiry please come to A25 at lunchtime this THURS at
lunchtime.
THEATRESPORTS: Is on today in H1 12.35pm – come along for more information about matches and coaching
SGCNZ UNIVERSITY OF OTAGO SHEILAH WINN SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL: Can all performers for the Festival please
come to an important meeting tomorrow at interval in P11. Please be prompt.
ALL STUDENTS: Thank you to everyone who bought a $2 ticket to win 5 x passes for Rainbows End Night Rides. The $385.00
raised is going to help the Westlake Girls Robotics team get to the World Championships in Kentucky, USA. We appreciate your

YEAR 9: Who wants to be a student librarian? Be sure to hand in your application by Friday at noon.
SPORTS
BASKETBALL: Team lists are now on the Sports Department Noticeboard. All fees must be paid by 31st March to confirm your
place in a team. Any queries please see Mrs Wareham.
SQUASH: A reminder that there is Squash “have a go” sessions being held at North Shore Squash Club (Shea Terrace – by
hospital) at 3.30 after school Tuesdays and Thursday. Anyone welcome to attend. Equipment provided. Gold coin donation.
LACROSSE: Westlake has one Premier Lacrosse team which plays in Term 2 on Thursday afternoons. The trial will be held on
Monday 27th 3.30pm – 4.30pm, information and sign up sheet in Sports Department.
NETBALL: Year 9 & Senior – All trials are now complete, please ensure you have paid your fees of $160 if you wish to be placed
in a team. If you need to arrange a payment plan please see Mrs Baker in the Sports Department. Year 10 – Trial this Friday 17th
March 1pm – 4pm, please make sure you have registered at the Sports Department to trial.
