M a r i a n , Town Tribune Ttii'S'lay January 9.3 , I.1-".1", p» 7--B Lewis Clark Kolb, 86 v/ -\N born Feb. 26,1903 in Clay Twp., Shelby Co. He was educated at Clay Twp. # 3 School. Aug. 26, 1937, he married Etvie Fiscus at Harlan and to this union two children were born. As a young boy, he worked on the family farm and later went into a business partnership with his two brothers and he continued to operate the home place. He had a great talent for mechanics. In 1969, he retired and moved to Harlan. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Harlan and had been a resident of the Salem Lutheran Home at Elk Horn for the past four years. He died Jan. 6, 1990 at Myrtue Memorial Hospital in Harlan at age 86 years, 10 months and 10 days. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gordon. Survivors include his wife, EK/ie of 52 years; two sons, Larry of Sepulveda, CA., ;ind Warren of Harlan; a sister, Eunice Kolb of Los Angeles and a brother, Charles of Atlantic; seven grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Jan. 10, 1990 at Burmeister Funeral Home with Rev. Janne Clinton and Rev. LeVern Nielsen, officiating. Burial was in trie Monroe Twp. cemetery with Larry Kolb, Lyle Fiscus, Pete Sutton, Keith Fiscus, Verle Doonan and John Vanderheiden as casketbearers.
