Trader Infrastructure Set-Up Guide
Please note: To ensure that the Blue Point Trading Bluepoints trader has the
proper infrastructure set up, the following is a list of requirements and helps
that the trader should put in to place to enable their success. It is not only
good that the trader has the proper trading tools but the communication and
trader tools set up to become part of the Blue Point Trading team.

1. Infrastructure: It will be required to ensure you have the adequate
technical infrastructure in your home or office. This should include a
dedicated work environment free from physical distractions. You should have
a good workable desk and a very comfortable chair – you will need it. The
following is a list of what we believe are the minimum technical
infrastructure elements you should have:
• PC CPU: Pentium 4 2.4 GHz + or AMD 2400xp+
• System Memory (RAM): 4 GB
• Operating System: Windows XP (SP2), Windows Vista, Windows 7 or
Windows 8. Please note that it may also be possible to run our software under
Mac OS X. Additional software (i.e. Parallels Destkop, Bootcamp) may be required.
• Virus Protector
• Hard Disk: 80 GB free space
• 2 x 19in monitors (the more, the better)
• ADSL or Cable Internet with at least 512 Kbs
• Webcam
• Headset with microphone
• Good wireless mouse
2. Trading Platform: For our Bluepoints Trader Programme, Blue Point
Trading along with its designated brokers, provides you with an extensive
trading platform to perform your trading. Upon enrollment, you will receive
an Installation & Users Guide. 3. Skype: In order to communicate between Blue Point Trading management
and the trader, both should be available by phone. However, the use of
Skype (download here) can defray a lot of your telephony costs as well as the
use of video to enhance the communication. Please make available your
Skype address and add your contact to the Blue Point Trading team
Skype address books.
4. Office Documents: Blue Point Trading uses an open document standard
(ods). You can download these office open source tools here. - TRADER INFRASTRUCTURE -

5. eLearning Trader Trading Course: For our traders working with us
uniquely online, Blue Point Trading uses an eLearning environment to allow
traders to complete their eLearning Trader Training Course. The link for
this can be found in the Tool Box. The user name and password is provided
by Blue Point Trading at the time of enrollment.
6. Business Cards: We recommend that you personalise and incorporate the
Blue Point Trading team spirit by getting your own business cards. You may
use the title as “Independent Trader” with your own phone number and
address. Here is a link to a company that can do this.
7. Blue Point Trading does not provide infrastructure support – this is the
responsibility of the trader. The trader is expected to understand and know
how to put in place these necessary tools. This includes ensuring that all
technical elements are kept up to date. The tools shown here, each have help
and support at their respective websites and within the tools themselves.
However if all else fails and if we can provide any guidance, please feel free
to contact us.
